PlayStation3 or PS3 is the third-gen console released by Sony. the console is now 14 years old, but a lot of people are still looking for the console. PS3 comes in three versions, PS3 Fat (first-gen), PS3 Slim (second-gen), and PS3 Super Slim (third-gen).

From all of the cool games we see on the console, we sometimes spot a game with a negative review because those games failed to meet the expectation of the players and critics. This is the list of the most disappointing PS3 games of all time.

1. Last Rebellion

Last Rebellion is a JRPG developed by Hit Maker. The game may have looked promising when the initial trailer was released but the negative reviews left by gamers say otherwise. The playtime of the game is too short, not to mention the game’s graphic made the game look like it was meant for PSP and not PS3.

2. Haze

Haze is a first-person shooter (FPS) game developed by the developers who developed Time Splitter, Free Radical Design. Instead of getting praised, gamers left negative reviews for the game. The game is filled with bugs, the gameplay is boring, the AIs are terrible, and the graphic is a major disappointment.

3. Lair

Lair 2007, Sony alongside Factor 5 released an exclusive PS3 game titled Lair. the game promised that gamers can experience riding on the back of a dragon and enjoy the stunning visual. In reality, Lair is criticized by gamers because of its horrible gameplay mechanism and controller.

4. Quantum Theory

Quantum Theory will remind gamers of the exclusive Xbox 360 game, Gears of War. The game developed by Tecmo is criticized by gamers because gamers consider the game as an exact copy of Gears of Wars executed with anime as its theme. 

5. Aliens: Colonial Marines 

Adapting the biggest horror film franchise doesn’t guarantee Aliens: Colonial Marines to be successful. The game developed by Gearbox Software is left with a low review score. The campaign mode is boring and failed to meet gamers’ expectation after making them wait for years.

6. Duke Nukem Forever

Similar to Aliens: Colonial Marines, Duke Nukem Forever is an FPS game developed by Gearbox Software. The game is a major letdown because of the bad gameplay and controller.

7. Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is a hack and slash game developed by Spark Unlimited. The game’s visual is good but gamers were still disappointed. The things gamers complained about included the bad camera angle and the boring gameplay.

8. Call of Juarez: The Cartel

Call of Juarez was a decent game you can play, but when Techland released The Cartel for PS3, gamers are left baffled. It was because the game’s content strays from what the Call of Juarez had been presenting. Not to mention The Cartel was infested with bugs when it was first released.

9. Sonic the Hedgehog

When we first heard about Sonic, Sega fans were enthusiastic waiting for the release. But when Sonic the Hedgehog was released for PS3, the verdict for the game is terrible. The issue is caused by the visual glitch, bad camera angle, and boring exploration.

10. Tony Hawk Ride

Tony Hawk Ride is a game from the Tony Hawk franchise with a negative review. Gamers are disappointed with the graphic, gameplay mechanism, and lousy missions.

11. Terminator Salvation

Another game carrying a big franchise, Terminator Salvation failed to meet gamers’ expectations. The game developed by GRIN is considered to be one of the worst games to ever release on PlayStation 3.

12. Ace Combat Infinity

Ace Combat Infinity may have take the best flight simulation game in 2014. But that doesn’t mean gamers are satisfied with the game. From the graphic’s quality to the gameplay mechanism was boring. After you complete a mission to unlock a new airplane, you have to spend extra time to grind or purchase digital content.

13. Hyperdimension Neptunia

Hyerdimension Neptunia is a PS3 game that records the lowest review score ever. Players are disappointed by the game developed by Idea Factory. The gameplay is boring and not interesting at all. Besides the fan-service, the game only good for those who like visual novel games.

14. Mindjack

Mindjack is the worst game released by Square Enix. The low review score is a testament to how bad the game is. It’s that big of a disappointment that gamers said that they get a headache after playing the game.

15. Amy

The final game on this list is Amy, the worst horror game in PS3. the game by Lexis Numerique has a low score on its Metacritic page.
