In Naruto’s universe, five basic elements usually used by ninjas to defeat their enemies, and one of them is the Earth Release, which allows ninjas to manipulate earth layers as an offensive weapon or to self-defense. Take a look at the 15 strongest Earth Release Jutsu users here!

15. Iwabee Yuino

A young ninja with high potential, remembering that even though he’s still on the Academy, Iwabee already mastered a few, powerful Earth Release Jutsu and he can always use them to defeat his opponents.

14. Jirobo

One of Orochimaru’s loyal pupils. He has a unique Earth Release technique: Doton Kekkai: Doro Domu (Earth Release: Earth Prison Dome), which allows him to cage traps some people into the indestructible earth dome because it keeps on regenerating using chakra while absorbing the victim’s chakra who trapped inside.

13. Shinki

Gaara’s foster son and a few people who mastered Magnet Release, a combination of Earth and Wind Release. If he does not lose to Boruto’s Kote, Shinki already won the Chuunin Exam with his tremendous power.

12. Kakuzu

The owner of Takigakure’s kinjutsu named Jiongu (Earth Grudge Fear) that can control five chakra elements all at once due to his additional hearts. Even though he stores a lot of deadly attacks, but Kakuzu’s Earth Release techniques are not as powerful as the rest.

11. Kakashi Hatake

The Copy Ninja. Not only famous for his Raikiri but Kakashi also often seen using some Earth Release Jutsu to defend himself or trapping his opponents.

10. Yamato

The next one on the list, we have Yamato, an Anbu whose cell injected with Hashirama’s cell and can use Wood Release. He shows his powers when teaching Naruto an element combination. 

9. Rasa

The Fourth Kazekage and Gaara’s father. He is known as a ninja who can control Gold Dust due to Magnet Release kekkei genkai and stopping Shukaku’s rampage with said power.

8. Akatsuchi

The man who controls the stone golems and loyal to protect Tsuchikage -- until he called as the “shield”. Even though his name contains the word ‘earth’ (tsuchi), but he’s not related to Kurotsuchi or even Kitsuchi.

7. Kurotsuchi

The Fourth Tsuchikage and Onoki’s granddaughter. Surely as true Iwagakure kunoichi (and as a Tsuchikage), Kurotsuchi stores a lot of deadly Earth Release techniques. Sadly, she rarely receives a spotlight in the series.

6. Kitsuchi

Kurotsuchi’s father. His Earth Release technique seen when he attempts to sandwich and stopping Gedo Mazo movements using Sando no Jutsu (Sandwich Technique).

5. Hiruzen Sarutobi

Also known as The Professor because he is a Hokage who mastered all techniques in Konohagakure. Even though he’s old, but Hiruzen still shows his prowess using Earth Release Jutsu when facing Orochimaru.

4. Kazekage Ketiga

Known as the strongest Kazekage of all time, and he’s one of a few first humans that is known (and feared) of having Magnet Release kekkei genkai. Not only able to control iron dust, but he is also known to often manipulate the enemy’s weapon to kill its wielder.

3. Onoki

The Third Tsuchikage who often experience back pain. But similar to Hiruzen, his fighting spirit is still high, making him still able to unleash various deadly Earth Release techniques -- and Dust Release.

2. Mu

Onoki’s teacher and one of the two people who, so far, known to master Dust Release. Not only able to fly, Mu even can make him invisible and off from the radar and duplicate himself.

1. Hashirama Senju

It can’t be denied that the first spot on the list is taken by Hashirama, remembering that he’s the only one to have Wood Release kekkei genkai, a combination of Earth and Water naturally so far. Also, the Senju clan is known as a master of 1.000 Jutsu.
