So Sad, Here Are 3 Naruto Characters Who Died in Boruto!
Here are the various characters from the Naruto series who ultimately died in Boruto!
Anime & Manga | 30 April
At the opening of Boruto episode 1, the dialogue between Kawaki and Boruto seems to indicate that Naruto Uzumaki has died in that era. Is it true? For now, it is not known, because in both the anime and manga Boruto as aired today, Naruto is still alive. But indeed, in the anime and manga versions, we start to see some characters who appeared in Naruto and eventually died in Boruto.
They survived World War but ended up dead in Boruto during the peaceful era for various reasons. Who are they? Let’s find out here!
1. Onoki
This death shocked fans because it was not shown in the manga. When this arc occurred, the Boruto anime storyline usually didn't have any meaningful impact. So if there is death, those who die are the original characters that have just appeared in Boruto, not the veterans in Naruto.
Therefore, it is interesting that at the end of the Mitsuki's Disappearance Arc, the old Onoki decided to use his last strength to release Jinton to defeat Ku, an artificial human created by his secret project. Onoki redeemed himself by eliminating Ku. Unfortunately, Onoki also died afterward.
2. Ao
This already occurred in the manga a long time ago, but only adapted to the anime in Boruto episode 187. Ao survived the Ten-Tails' Bijuudama, even though the attack killed both Shikaku Nara and Inoichi Yamanaka. But that attack made Ao lose several of his organs, so he couldn't be an effective ninja anymore.
In the Boruto era, it was revealed that Ao was an accomplice to the Kara organization. The thing is, Kara gave him a reason to live again by giving him ninja technology. He also became a loyal tool for Kara. After losing to Boruto, Ao looked like he was enlightened by Boruto's words. Maybe if he was left alive, he would begin to repent.
Unfortunately, Kashin Koji suddenly came with a Boiler Gama. Heroically, Ao, who was once a villain, chose to use his last strength to mobilize Suiton to push Boruto, who at that time, was too close to him. Boruto was pushed so that he did not get hit by the Boiler Gama. In the end, Ao was crushed and died.

3. Kurama
In the manga version of Boruto, Naruto transformed into Baryon Mode to defeat Isshiki. It is said that using this technique will kill Naruto. But it turned out that Kurama was lying.
That technique didn't kill Naruto. The technique only consumed Kurama’s life, as the Jinchuriki's Bijuu. So, once Baryon Mode ended, Kurama died forever. In truth, a Bijuu's death shouldn't be permanent. Looking at the Isobu case, which came back to life even though it should have died when Rin died at the hands of Kakashi.
But what's worrying is that this is not an ordinary death. This was not the case for Kurama's Jinchuriki dying from attacks, or Kurama being extracted out of his human vessel, Kurama died because of Baryon Mode, a form that also seemed to endanger the user.
Based on Kurama's dialogue, where he warned Naruto that the Hokage could catch up with him if he acted recklessly, it seemed to give a clue that Kurama's death could be permanent.
So those are the three characters in Naruto who finally died in Boruto. The fear is that this is just the beginning, and in the future, there will be more Naruto characters who will die in Boruto.
