In Boku no Hero Academia, Togata Mirio has become one of the most important characters in the arc against Overhaul. He’s the one who saved Eri and gave Overhaul such a fight. Yet alas, Mirio had to lose his Quirk due to Overhaul’s drug. Here are some reasons why Mirio deserves to get his Quirk back!

1. U.A’s Best Student

The reason why many fans are sad to see Mirio lose his Quirk is that he is the best student in U.A. Being one of the U.A’s Top Three, Mirio had the potential of becoming the most admired pro hero right after his graduation. He would obviously be able to save many lives.

If Mirio gets his Quirk back, his hard work will not be in vain. Not only that, but he’d be in his tip-top condition to be able to perform at his highest level.

2. He’s a Symbol

While Mirio no longer has the chance of getting the One For All from All Might, he can still be a symbol for many people. After being recognized as one of the highest-ranked students in U.A, Mirio can easily become one of the best pro heroes after he graduated. His positive attitude and kindness certainly will help him to get to that position.

Without his Quirk, this definitely won’t be easy for him. If he had to live his life without his Quirk, Mirio would probably be just another what-could-have-been story. It’s a shame since he has great potential to become one of the best pro heroes.

3. There Are Still Many Who Need to be Saved

Mirio picked the name “Lemilion” ‘cause he aspires to save at least one million people in his life. Losing his Quirk doesn’t necessarily make his dream impossible, but it’d definitely make it much more difficult. In order to achieve this goal, it seems that Mirio has to regain his ability. 

Mirio has only been able to save Eri this far, so, in other words, there are still 999,999 people he needs to save.

4. His Combination with Eri

Eri is currently in quarantine, yet it is likely that she will learn about his own Quirk. Her ability to rewind has to be very powerful. It came in handy when she used it on Deku in his fight against Overhaul. This could bring the same benefit to Mirio’s fighting style.

First off, Eri can use her Quirk to restore Mirio’s body back when he still has his Quirk. Then, Eri might join in fights with Mirio by being on his back. If the situation gets worse, Eri could just use her Quirk to restore Mirio’s body to its previous condition.

5. Cause He Deserves It

If there’s a question on what’s Mirio’s biggest reason to get his Quirk back, the appropriate answer would be because he deserves it. Mirio has an unyielding will to save others and he even has an aspiration to save at least a million people.

Of course, no one would always get what they want. But in the writer’s opinion, Mirio truly deserves to get his Quirk back in order to continue pursuing his noble mission.
