Boruto anime finally returns to the mainstream storyline after dozens of filler episodes. The anime will take the Mujina Bandit arc from the manga. This evil group terrorizes Konoha when Fire Nation’s daimyo comes to visit.

1. Consists of Missing-nin (Rogue Ninjas)
In Naruto and Boruto’s world, it's a common thing to see a group of bandits wreaks havoc in many villages, and ninjas often receive a dispatch to handle those criminals. The number of bandit members usually not too may and only terrorize a specific territory, but Mujina Bandits is a different story.
This bandit group has many members with ninja-related professions who already betrayed their village, or better known as “missing-nin” (rogue ninja). What makes it interesting, they also slash their village logo, much like Akatsuki.
2. Led by Shojoji
The founder, the leader, and the brain of Mujina Bandits is Shojoji, and he also a missing-nin as well. His name is infamously known worldwide as his name included in the top tier of the blacklist in Konoha’s Bingo book.
Shojoji mastered a unique Jutsu called Shikabane Bunshin no Jutsu. This technique can make Shojoji disguise as another person by “eating” the person’s brain. His disguise is perfect because he can mimic the shape, behavior, and the expertise that his victim has.
3. Known Mujina Bandit Members
Even though he serves as the mastermind of chaos in Boruto manga, not much Mujuna Bandit’s member introduced aside from Shojoji. In the anime, other members introduced.
The first is Tsukiyo. He is positioned as the second in command and the right hand of Shojoji. Tsukiyo has a unique Jutsu namedTsuchikage no Jutsu, which shares similarities with Nara clan’s Kagemane no Jutsu.
The second one is Kokuri, a Hozuki Castle’s inmate who is trapped and forced to join the group. He later betrayed the organization and stole some funds. In the end, he killed by Shojoji.

The organization consists of missing-nin makes Mujina Bandits as the most wanted criminal group.
In the manga, Mujina Bandits is often rob banks, pillage villages, and wreak havoc like bandit groups in general. But in the anime, they have bigger connections, and they managed to spread their notoriety to various ninja villages.
5. Inspired by Japanese Folklore
The name of the group came from Mujina, a yokai or Japanese animal spirit that shaped like a badger. This animal spirit can shapeshift its form to trick humans. Another tale that Mujina often tricks monks in the Shojoji temple.
