5 Facts About Devastator, Decepticon’s Biggest Robot in Transformers Movie

Devastator is one of many adversaries that Autobots must defeat in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. This massive robot by Decepticons is tasked to realize Megatron’s mission in Egypt. After an arduous battle with twin robots, Devastator managed to reach the goal, a Giza Pyramid with Energon. 5. Has Different Shape Compared to G1 Version

In Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie, Devastator comes in a weird shape. After all the robots assembled, Devastator turns out to be a giant monster that can suck and devour everything in his path. But in the G1 comic book and animated series, Devastator instead described as a tough and massive robot. Dominated with a green and purple color scheme, Devastator becomes the most feared robot by Autobots.

Devastator also becomes the most loyal robot to Decepticons. He always obeys every task given by Megatron. With a massive body, Devastator can be a formidable foe for Omega Supreme and Dinobots.

4. Consists of Seven Constructicon Robots

It’s different than the G1 version, Devastator in the movie is a combination of seven construction robots instead, and they are Scavenger (Excavator Terex OandK RH), Long Haul (Dump Truck Caterpillar 773B), Rampage (Bulldozer Caterpillar D9T), Mixmaster (Mixer Truck Mack), Scrapper (Loader Caterpillar 992G), Hightower (Crawler Crane Kobelco CKE2500), and Overload (Dump Truck KW DartD64661). Aside from those seven robots, two other robots joined with Hightower and Rampage.

3. Also Appears in Video Game

Aside from make an appearance in the movie, Devastator can be found in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and PSP in the same year by Activision. The game allows players to experience the Devastator’s ferocity. With a size multiple times bigger than the player’s robot, Devastator becomes a robot that tricky enough to beat.  

2. Devastator Can Talk

Devastator in the movie depicted as a massive robot who cannot talk. But in the animated series, Devastator becomes a talkative robot. When all Constructicons unite, Devastator will declare that he is unparalleled and invincible.
