Transformers 5: The Last Knight is another movie from the Transformer franchise that we’ve been able to watch in 2017. The film tells the engaging story of the rise of the Autobots on Earth. 5. A Former Decepticon

Who would have thought that Drift was once a Decepticon? Yup! Before joining the Autobots, Drift was known as Deadlock. In the comic series, Deadlock experienced a shock after witnessing the battle of Cybertron. So much so that he finally decided to leave the Decepticons and became a neutral Transformer. But as time went on, Deadlock eventually joined Optimus Prime and changed his name to Drift.  

4. Adopts Samurai’s Bushido 

Drift is the only Transformers who adopts the Bushido way of living, just like a samurai. Aside from being chivalrous, Drift also has the wisdom and composure of a samurai. Drift’s appearance also adopts the Japanese knights’ armor. 

3. Has Loyal Mini-cons

In the animated series Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Drift is told to be a master who has mini-cons, miniature robots. The two mini-cons are Jetstorm and Slipstream, they are also taught the Bushido values and sword skills by Drift.

Drift is also one of the Transformers who has several different transformation modes. In Transformers: Age of Extinction, you can see Drift has the ability to transforms into a helicopter and a Buggati Veyron. While in Transformers The Last Knight, Drift transforms into a Mercedes AMG GT R.

Drift’s past as a Decepticon has made the other Autobots tend to disbelieve him. Even more so with Drift’s mentor, Shadow Raker, who’s still with the Decepticons, continues to stalk him. In the animated series Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Drift has even had a clash against Shadow Raker.
