After the time skip, his expertise in using the maneuver gear is still top-notch as he can ambush Marleyan infantries from rooftops, even using his gear to throw enemy soldiers off a building. Using the maneuver gear is clearly Jean’s forte.

Last but not least, Jean Kirstein is also proficient with various firearms. He shows great accuracy as he never intends to kill anyone with his shots -- instead, he aims only to maim his targets with his accurate shots.
