In the Black Clover anime episode 169, it’s the first time that Asta's mother, Lichita, is shown in the anime, albeit in a flashback. 1. Absorbing Magical Energies

Since birth, Lichita always drew magic energy or Mana from the living things around her. Just like Henry, she couldn't control her body that always sucks Mana. That's why Lichita preferred to live alone in the forest, away from the villagers. She didn't want to suck out the Mana from the villagers, because it would harm them.

2. Her Husband

We can see that Lichita is Asta's biological mother. The proof is that she left Asta when he was a baby in front of the Hage Village church. Simultaneously, baby Yuno was also left there. What is still a mystery is who Lichita's husband was. It has never been explained so that at this point, we don’t know who Asta's real father is.

3. Her Foster Son

As explained above, since birth, Lichita has the ability that is quite harmful to those around her. She would absorb the Mana of living things around her. After finding and treating the injured Liebe, Lichita was quite happy that he doesn't have Mana, meaning that Asta's mother doesn't have to worry about absorbing his Mana.

Lichita and Liebe lived together for quite some time. Not caring about Liebe's demonic figure, Lichita was happy that someone accompanied him in her life. Even Lichita regarded Liebe as her son. Unfortunately, their happiness ended after Lichita was killed by Lucifero who wanted to take over Liebe's body.

4. Lichita's Magic

After helping the lying Liebe, Lichita showed her magic. She has storage space magic. According to her, anything that didn't have Mana could be put in her storage room. For example, she can store firewood which can be used whenever she wants.

Lichita accidentally found a 5-leaf clover Grimoire that stored it in her storage room. The grimoire was used to store Liebe's body and was later found by Asta. It's not explained where the grimoire came from.

5. Should Live With Asta

The reason Lichita dumped Asta was that she was afraid that she would suck Asta's Mana, endangering his life. Even though Asta was born without Mana, similar to Liebe, but she was too late to realize it. Lichita's decision to dump Asta in the village of Hage was not wrong, but she shouldn't have done that.

Lichita could live happily with Asta who doesn't have magic. If Lichita had never met Liebe, she would have still lived happily with Asta until now. What is still a mystery until now is Asta's biological father. Most shonen anime protagonists must have a great father figure described in the story. Let's just wait until Asta's father is shown!
