If you claim to be a gamer, then you know about DINGDONG. Dingdong is is what Indonesians refer to as Arcade machines. They were popular in the 90s. The machines can be spotted at every recreational place, and some even build a special location just for playing these arcade machines.
Unlike today’s gaming device (console, PC, and smartphone) that can play all kinds of games, one unit of arcade machine can only contain one game. From all genres, the most popular genre is adventure because for one coin the player can play for a long time, even completed the game.

1. Cadillacs and Dinosaurs
You may not be familiar with the title. But once you hear ‘Mustapha’, then you will automatically remember the game. Taking the theme of an adventure in a fictional world filled with dinosaurs, four friends (Jack, Hannah, Mustapha, and Mess), had to help solve the chaos happening. Gamers will play one of the characters each with an ability to stop the opponents and the final boss, Dr. Simon.
2. Warriors of Fate
The game is inspired by the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Gamers will choose one out of the five heroes (Zhang Fei, Guan Yu, Zhao Yun, Huang Zhong, and Wei Yan) to roam the world and beat opponents from the Three Kingdoms. After every stage, the player will face other war generals and the final boss is Lu Bu! There’s a surprise after you successfully defeat Lu Bu, the escaping Cao Cao!

3. Captain Commando
The futuristic theme presented in the early 90s becomes an attraction point of the Captain Commando game. With unique characters (Captain Commando, Mack the Knife, Ginzu the Ninja, and Baby Head) and their abilities, gamers will choose one character to help them save the Earth and the whole galaxy from evil bad guys. Initially, Captain Commando only have two players mode. But as time passes the game can be played by up to four players.
4. Punisher
If you’re a fan of Marvel, then you know about the Punisher. The character wearing a t-shirt with a white skull on its front was featured in an arcade game and the favorite character of gamers from the 90s. In the game, the Punisher alongside agent Nick Fury is tasked with defeating KingPin.
5. Sunset Rider
Taking the Cowboy theme, the game is a breakthrough in the arcade game with a multiplayer mode playable by four players. The four playable cowboys are Steve, Billy, Bob, and Cormano. Gamers will roam the wild west and beat the final boss named Sombrero to complete the game.
