The Demon Slayer franchise has really become something extraordinary and one of the things that makes this anime rise in popularity is because of the presence of the extraordinary Mugen Train arc. The film was a huge success at the box office in Japan and overseas, and includes many elements that make it so compelling.
While live-action anime films tend to be flops, the animated films have received great response. According to some, the Mugen Train arc is an extraordinary arc. The author has compiled a full review of why the Mugen Train arc deserves to be considered a powerful arc? This is the full review.
1. Excellent Animation Quality
Demon Slayer was praised for animation studio UFOtable's outstanding color palette, 3-D effects, framerate, and catchy choreography. The same thing happens in this arc where every element that is executed, especially from the action side, does not disappoint at all.
The anime studio employees worked really hard to create visuals like this and their hard work paid off with top quality. With its crazier visualization, it's no wonder this arc catapulted the Demon Slayer's name.
2. The Tanjiro Family Appears Again
The arc's main villain, Enmu uses his powers to force the demon slayers to sleep, and Tanjiro Kamado is treated to a beautiful view of his family before Muzan Kibutsuji slaughters them. Tanjiro's heart is even more extraordinary because of this.
Of course, Tanjiro won't be tempted to live in a happy dreamland forever, but it's nice to see Tanjiro with his siblings and mother in this series. He even had a scene with his father, Tanjuro. Enmu made the mistake of having Tanjuro speak viciously to his son, something the real Tanjuro would never do.
3. Collaboration Showed More Solid
There are some anime heroes who try to do everything themselves, like when Eren Yeager attacked Liberio to wreak havoc. On the other hand, Tanjiro Kamado is willing to fight his enemy alone, but he can also be invited to cooperate in battle.

In the anime, he fights alongside Inosuke, Zenitsu, and even his sister, Nezuko. In this arc Tanjiro is the perfect teammate when he and Inosuke team up against Enmu to win!
4. Killing the Central Character
Anime films are reluctant to kill off main characters other than the villains unique to the film, likely to avoid fan disappointment and to avoid continuity issues between the film and the main series. Instead, this arc kills the central character brutally.
This character fights hard and does many things until finally another challenge comes until the main character is killed. The audience also has a very, very sad impact on this.
5. The Train Is So Iconic
The train itself is very symbolic in this film, such as how it represents the modern world who are not aware of the existence of demons in their world. It also represents Tanjiro's terrifying but courageous personal journey, and the many risks he will take along the way.
The train sped into darkness, and sure enough, a demon came to kill Tanjiro on the train. At one point, the train itself disintegrates, showing how Tanjiro hit a roadblock in the face of such a huge obstacle.
