A scope is one of many attachments on a firearm. In a Battle Royale game like Free Fire, scopes can be found in various kinds of weapons scattered on the battlefield. By using the scope, players can shoot their targets from afar and more accurate. Also, scopes can be used to look out the surroundings to detect the enemy's presence.

Free Fire has 5 kinds of scopes, and they are 2x scope, 4x scope, 8x scope, red dot scope, and thermal scope. What are the differences between those five? Have a look!

1. 2x Scope

2x scope is one of the easiest scopes to be used in-game. This scope can zoom in to the target twice and suitable to be used in a close to mid-range combat. Even though it doesn’t zoom in too far the targets, this scope is handful enough to execute headshots. This scope can be found on M500 and XM8.

2. 4x Scope

4x scope can be very effective if it's attached to an assault rifle weapon like M14 as it can zoom in to the view 4 times closer. This scope also can be very useful to spy the surroundings. But you have to know that this one is hard to master, so you need to train yourself using it. This scope comes with various SMGs and ARs like SVD, SKS, and VSS.

3. Sniper Scope (8x)

8x scope is another scope variant in Free Fire. By equipping sniper rifles that are attached with this scope, you can shoot targets from afar from a safe distance. By using this, no one can detect your location. This scope comes with sniper rifles like Kar98k and AWM. 

4. Red Dot Scope

It’s different than three previous scopes as the red dot scope doesn’t enlarge the view. This scope marks the target by its red dot on the center of the scope and suitable for close to mid-range combat. Sadly, red dot scope is the weakest scope among the others and it’s very common. You better replace this scope with the other.

5. Thermal Scope

In the last one, the thermal scope comes with a unique feature that the other scopes don’t have. This scope can detect the body’s heat, and it's suitable to be used to see targets hiding in grasses. This scope can be used to play in dark areas on Night Hunter mode. Not only that, but the thermal scope can also enlarge the view up to 3 times bigger.
