5 Pokemon That Are More Useful Than Their Evolution Form in Pokemon Games!
Usually, Pokemon will be stronger if they evolve, but that’s not the case with these Pokemon. They better not changing at all!
Anime & Manga | 22 June
In Pokemon games, Pokemon are supposed to grow stronger each time they evolve. In addition to getting new moves, their stats also increase so that they are stronger in battle. Uniquely, some of these Pokemon even look less useful in their new form. What are they? Take a look at the article below!
1. Vigoroth
Vigoroth evolves into Slaking, an Orangutan pokemon that is lying on the floor most of the time, even Pokedex describes it as the laziest Pokemon in the world. In every Pokemon game, Slaking yawns more often and does nothing in each turn.
Meanwhile, Vigoroth fights normally with a strength that is not much different from Slaking. That's why he's still so much better. For those of you who have Vigoroth, it's better not to evolve to Slaking!
2. Nincada
Nincada will evolve into Ninjask at level 20. At that time, Shedinja will appear at the party if there is an empty space. Uniquely, Shedinja only has 1 HP. It has the Wonder Guard ability which makes it immune to any attacks except those that are super effective against it.
This means any move as long as it's super effective will defeat it in just one hit, while Shedinja is weak against 5 types of attacks. This makes it quite a disadvantage when compared to Nincada which has a much higher HP.

3. Caterpie
When entering Viridian Forest in Pokemon Red and Blue, it's better to catch a Caterpie than a Metapod. The reason is wild Metapods usually don't master moves like Tackle, only Harden. This allows it to only increase Defense without being able to attack at all.
But if you catch Caterpie, it will still be able to use Tackle even though it has evolved to Metapod. The red line is, Caterpie is far more useful than wild Metapods.
4. Weedle
Just like Caterpie, Weedle evolves into Kakuna before eventually evolving again into Beedrill. Beedrill may be okay considering it has a Mega form, but Kakuna is not a Pokemon that you should deploy in battle. This is because Kakuna is also only able to use Harden, rendering it completely useless to attack.
Weedle has a Poison Sting move and it’s still much better. In addition to being able to attack, this move gives a poison effect that will deal damage every turn.
5. Porygon2
The last Pokemon that is more useful than its evolution is Porygon2. When Porygon2 evolves to Porygon-Z, its Speed and Special Attack stats will increase. Unfortunately, it also makes his Defense and Special Defense stats drop quite high.
According to Pokedex, Porygon2 gets a much higher ability boost than Porygon. At the same time, this Pokemon begins to get an increase in intelligence. Porygon-Z is also having a growth, however, but unfortunately, it is detected as an error in the database. This is why Porygon2 is still better than Porygon-Z.
So those are the Pokemon that you shouldn’t evolve because the previous form is quite better. If you find this article interesting, share it with your friends.
