1. Learn the Spray Patterns for Each Weapon

Each gun has a different spray pattern, and that spray pattern will determine the, well, pattern and the direction of the bullets that coming out of a certain weapon. While the spray patterns in Valorant is more randomized than most FPS games in general, you can still learn it by using certain weapons frequently. You will have the muscle memory to control the patterns of your favorite weapon over time.

In general, weapons with high recoil are very difficult to use in long-range shots. And vice versa, weapons with low recoil and damage are not recommended to be used in close-range combats, but they’re more effective to be used in long-range.

2. Never Underestimate Pistols

Pistols are quite potent in Valorant, you can even get an easy kill just by using a pistol in the game. If you don’t have enough money to get an automatic weapon, then the obvious alternative is to get a pistol, or just use the default one.

Also, you can switch from your primary to your pistol in dire situations, such as running out of bullets in the middle of an intense shootout. 

3. Walk to Get to Your Enemies

A lot of players have not noticed the significance of paying attention to your steps when making a move or closing the distance to the enemies. By holding the shift button while taking steps, the enemies will not be able to hear your steps, thus you can make easy, stealthy kills.

This is quite an essential thing to apply to your game, especially for setting a Spike or just for sneaking behind the enemies without them noticing.

4. Buy Armor in Each Round

Armor is one of the most important things for you to buy in each round to get an extra 50 points defense, assuming you get the 1000 armor. It’s highly advised to prioritize getting an armor before any weapons so that you won’t get killed easily by the opponents.

With an additional defense of 50 points, you can avoid nasty 1-hit kills by snipers, such as Marshal or Operator. 

5. Don’t Forget to Buy Skills

Skill is a very helpful utility tool on the battlefield. Each character has different unique skills with different main functions, such as smoke grenades, flashbangs, or skills to track down enemies. Therefore, you should buy a skill every time you can afford it, and use those skills wisely so they don’t go to waste!
