Red Dead Online is an amazing open world game that everyone can play either solo or together, and they can either befriend or antagonize one another. Rockstars, creator of the critically acclaimed Grand Theft Auto series is one of the best when it comes to designing an open world game and they make sure to continue their quality as players can interact with the giant map in the game with many exciting activities.

1. Ambarimo

If you want to experience the winter season of the cowboy era, Ambarimo can be the right place for you. Before traveling in this map, make sure to wear thick clothes to avoid getting hypothermia due to the cold. The highest point in Red Dead Online is in this territory that is a mountain called Mount Hagen.

In this map, Wapiti Indian Reservation is the area where the native Americans live. Here, you can find plants and herbs that can turn into Indian medicines. However, beware of the wolves that gather in a group around the map, as they can scare your horse.

2. Lemoyne

If the remnants of American Civil War interest you, visit Lemoyne which consists of forests and swamps. You can hunt some crocodiles at the swamps and buy the best baits to catch them at Lagos Village. There’s also a large area where the civil war happened, complete with the remains of cannons and barricades. 

The largest and most modern city in this map is Saint Denis. The city is already equipped with trams as public transportation. The theatre in this city has some amazing performances that are unique every time you visit it.

3. New Austin

New Austin consists of a wide desert area full of cactuses, a signature of the Wild West. Because there are lots of cactuses here, take care to not hit them with your horse.

You can find desert animals like the condors and rattlesnakes. Make sure to take care of rattlesnakes on your way because your horse is very afraid of them.

4. West Elizabeth

Tired of the hot and dry desert? Head to the east and camp at the West Elizabeth State. It is a much greener territory with pine forests stretching all the way from Tall Tree Region to Strawberry Village with a river beside the whole forests, making it a very refreshing place to be in.

Blackwater Town is where you want to find the civilization in West Elizabeth, as you can find lots of shops and a cinema there. Some of the best animals to hunt in this territory are bears and cougars, but make sure to take a long distance away from these dangerous and tough animals.

5. New Hanover

New Hanover is quite possibly a cowboy paradise as these particular Red Dead Online maps consists of a massive prairie full of gigantic herbivores like the bison, deers or wild bulls. For the ultimate cowboy experience, try to catch them using a lasso.

The humble Valentine Town is New Hanover’s attraction point in Red Dead Online maps. There’s also the huge Emerald Ranch stacked with missions that you can take part in.
