Anime & Manga | 17 September
Great moves and powers are usually included in some cool anime with the aim of making the anime even more exciting. But there are some anime characters that have the weirdest powers that shock the viewers.
Usually, the more unique a move or skill an anime character has, the easier it is to remember the anime so it would attract more fans. Who are the 6 anime characters with the weirdest powers? Check out the following list to find out.
1. Candy Beam - Buu (Dragon Ball)
The Buu Saga is a divisive topic among the Dragon Ball community. On the one hand, this arc brings some unique situations and battles to the series. On the other hand, the Buu Saga doesn't live up to the glory of other Dragon Ball arcs. If the fans are united in this arc, it's because they are at least happy that the arc brings out the childish magic and destructive power of Majin Buu.
While most villains are probably just trying to blow up the planet or fight the people who inhabit it, Buu has the incredible power of Candy Beam. With it, this character can turn his enemies into candy. By doing so, he could not only absorb their power but also eat it in front of his enemy's family. It's a funny and scary thing at the same time.
2. Pop Off - Mineta (My Hero Academia)
My Hero Academia features superpowers and cool characters. While some Quirks like One for All or Explosions seem fun and interesting, Minoru Mineta has the Pop Off quirk.
In a world full of chainsaw monsters and blood-sucking serial killers, Mineta survives by throwing his sticky balls at people. By tearing grape-like objects on his head, Mineta can be a bit of a hassle for his enemies or bounce the ball himself. How did this kid pass the Academia entrance exam?
3. Invisibility - Asuka (Yamada-Kun and Seven Witches)
Yamada-kun and The Seven Witches has a premise full of strange powers. It's not that the power itself is strange, but the way to activate the power is also a little strange. By kissing people, the seven girls at Suzaku High are able to unlock abilities ranging from body switching to predicting the future.
However, the strangest of them all was Mikoto Asuka's power of Invisibility. When she kisses someone, Asuka is able to become invisible to them. If normally the power of invisibility is cool, in this version it's a bit of the opposite. That's what makes Asuka one of the coolest anime characters with the strangest powers.

4. APR and IRS - Knuckle (Hunter X Hunter)
The Hunter x Hunter Nen system is one of the most respected magic systems in all anime titles. The rules remain relatively realistic to the fans, and they give way to an astonishing but still plausible range of powers. However, if there's one whose premise still offends common sense today, it's Knuckle's APR and IRS. With APR, Knuckle could actually share his Nen with his opponent.
However, every time his opponent hit him, they piled up the Nen debt with interest. Once their debt exceeds their own Nen amount, they will activate Knuckle’s IRS which seals the opponent's Nen. Knuckle’s Nen made a lot of people overthink of its limit.
5. Ramen Making Nose - Wanze (One Piece)
Many people will think that in One Piece, the strangest abilities will come from Devil Fruits. However, Eiichiro Oda continues to entertain, surprise, and annoy his fans with his eccentric sense of humor.
The strangest powers in One Piece actually don't come from Devil Fruits but the strange anatomy of one of the Marine chefs. During the Water Seven or Enies Lobby Arc, Sanji battles a fellow chef named Wanze on the Sea Train, whose cooking skills certainly don't match a cook's code of ethics.
By mixing the dough in his mouth and blowing it out of his nose, his sieve-like nose hairs will cut through the dough, both for his cooking needs and for various ramen-based combat attacks. Sanji was disgusted by Wanze’s ability.
6. Super Fly - Toyohiro (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)
One of the coolest anime characters with the strangest powers from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is Toyohiro Kanedaichi with the Super Fly. This stand fastens itself to a power pole, so it can trap a single person within its confines. He does so by wrapping the person in an armor every time they try to leave, absorbing their energy, and redirecting it every time they try to attack the pole.
However, the big caveat here is that users need to be smart enough to trap someone inside the pole. Because Toyohiro is the only person who gets caught in his own trap.
