The life of a delinquent is full of twists and turns, and also death. Betrayal is also something common in their tough life, but the death of Keisuke Baji, the founder of Tokyo Manji, became the saddest moment in this anime.

Baji stabs himself to death to protect the gang and friends that he loved.

2. Portgas D. Ace - One Piece

Portgas D. Ace is a character whose death saddens the fans of One Piece. The story about pirates by Eiichiro Oda has many death scenes in its story, but none of those scenes beat the death of Ace.

Ace is Monkey D. Luffy’s brother, the main character of the anime, but he was killed by Admiral Akainu during the war at the Marineford. Ace protected Luffy from Akainu’s lava punch. Ace died hugging Luffy with a smile.

3. Hyuga Neji - Naruto: Shippuden

Hyuga Neji is the character whose death saddens Naruto: Shippuden fans. Neji died during the Fourth Shinobi War. When Naruto battled the ten-tailed Bijuu, Neji and the allied force helped him

After realizing that Naruto is a vital part to win the war, Neji, Hinata, and Hisashi, protected him at all cost. Sadly it cost him his life.

In episode 354 of the anime titled The Ties That Bind in Naruto: Shippuden, the ten-tailed beast fired a nail toward Naruto, Hinata tried to stop the nail but failed and that instant Neji jumped in front of them.

4. Setsuko Yokokawa - Grave of The Fireflies

Setsuko Yokokawa is a character whose death made the fans of Grave of the Fireflies sad. The 4 years old girl died in 1945. The American B-29 Superfortress that bombed Japan during world war 2 made Setsuko and her brother, Seita, lose their house and parents so they have to live at their aunt’s house.

Their aunt was forced to kick them out of her house because their ration was limited. Seita and Setsuko then lived at an abandoned bomb shelter and used fireflies to light up the shelter.

Their lives got worse when Setsuko and Seita ran out of rice, then she was rushed to the doctor due to malnutrition. Seita found her dying and hallucinating after returning to the shelter with food but sadly Setsuko died when Seita was cooking for her.

5. Siesta - The Detective is Already Dead

The Detective is Already Dead may spoil the fate of the detective named Siesta, but it didn’t stop the fans from making her their waifu in 2021.

Despite the first episode telling the viewers about her death, the scene still saddens the viewers.

Kimihiko and Siesta were investigating the case of missing hearts that were stolen by a mysterious organization. Hel, the villain, that lost a lot of blood took Siesta’s heart to be transplanted into her body.

6. Kyojuro Rengoku - Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

The death of Kyujuro Rengoku made many fans of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba sad. One of the Hashira who wields the power of flame, he died after fighting the demon Azaka in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train.

The battle between Rengoku and Akaza went intense until the Flame Hashira sacrificed his body, getting stabbed by Azaka’s hand. Rengoku forced the hand to remain inside his body until the sun was up to kill the demon. Sadly, Azaka escaped leaving Rengoku to die alone.
