5. Tales of Berseria

One of the titles from the popular anime RPG series for consoles, Tales, Tales of Berseria tells the story of a half-demon named Velvet Crowe. She was just a happy and passionate village girl. But then, one day, during a Scarlet Night, her village was attacked by daemons and she witnessed her younger brother, Laphicet, being sacrificed by their own brother-in-law, Artorius, for a ritual. Turning into a half-demon called Therion, now Velvet lives on the sole purpose of taking revenge on Artorius.

4. Shining Resonance Refrain

Dragons, Dragons everywhere. Dragons always have shown as the legendary creatures with mighty powers -- and, in this RPG, dragons serve as the main source of power for the characters in solving the conflict between the factions of good and evil.

Refrain tells a story about a guy named Yuma Ilvern, who holds the soul of one of the most powerful dragons, Shining Dragon. Due to the power bestowed in him, Yuma got captured and thrown into prison. He made his escape with the help of two beautiful warriors, Sonia Blanche and Kirika Towa Alma. Then, they go on an adventure to stop the evil Empire from exploiting the powers of the dragons; including the Shining Dragon manifested in Yuma.

3. Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online

"Neppu! Neppu!", is the catchphrase of the shuujinko or main character from this anime RPG series, Neptune. 

Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online tells the story of the personification of gaming machines; Neptune, Noire, Blanc, Vert, Nepgear, Uni, Ram, and Rom; of running an online game titled 4 Goddesses Online. With their own respective Jobs, another thing they have to do while trying to complete the online is to report any bug detected within it to the game master; because they’re hired as the beta testers for 4 Goddesses Online.

2. Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of The Mysterious Book

In this particular anime RPG, you will be playing as an alchemist. Playing as Sophie Neuenmuller, an alchemist on the outskirts of Kirchen Bell. Sophie has to manage her alchemy studio on her own and mix various items to create an even more powerful item.

Sophie’s journey starts when she stumbles upon a strange book that moves and talks. Sophie then helps the 'magical book' to restore her memories as well as transform it back to its human form.

1. Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet

LLENN and Pitohui’s story in the Gun Gale Online anime has just ended, but, for those of you fans of SAO, you may still see them again in the game, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet. In this anime RPG, you’ll be playing as a player who just logged into the online game alongside your childhood friend, Kureha. Kureha then invites you to participate in a tournament with a reward of a rare item -- which turns out to be an NPC with a sophisticated artificial intelligence called Arfa-Sys.

However, due to an error, some of Arfa-Sys’ functions are damaged. You, Kureha, and other SAO characters that you might find familiar, then volunteered to restore Arfa-Sys’ functions.
