For Tamiya Mini 4WD fans, surely you know Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go! Yes, it is a manga created by Tetsuhiro Koshita and published in Shogakukan's CoroCoro Comic from June 15, 1994 to August 1996. Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go! is the first series, before the WGP arc and Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go! MAX in the Let's & Go! series. There was an anime adaptation produced by XEBEC and aired on TV Tokyo from January 8, 1996 to December 23, 1996.
The first series of Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go! tells the story of the Seiba brothers named Go and Retsu, as they start their Tamiya Mini 4WD racing career. For all of you who like Tamiya Mini 4WD, here is a discussion of the top 6 Tamiya Mini 4WDs that appeared in Let's & Go!
1. Magnum Saber
The Magnum Saber is the first Fully Cowled Mini 4WD car released by Tamiya on September 7, 1994. This Tamiya Mini 4WD was released in conjunction with the Sonic Saber. The Magnum Saber is featured in the manga and anime Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go! as Go Seiba's second car, replacing Manta Ray Jr.
The Magnum Saber, like its sibling Sonic Saber, featured a curved body shell that covered the wheels. There is a rear body roller attachment where users can install a 10 mm roller on it.
The difference between the Magnum Saber and the Sonic Saber is that the Magnum Saber has fire-like decals on its body shell and has a flat rear spoiler. In addition, the Magnum Saber has a 'Go' emblem on the front of its shell. The rear winglet is also smaller on the Magnum Saber compared to the Sonic Saber.
2. Sonic Saber
The Sonic Saber is a Fully Cowled Mini 4WD car released by Tamiya on September 7, 1994. Released with the Magnum Saber, this Tamiya Mini 4WD variant is featured in the manga and anime Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go! as Retsu Seiba's second car, replacing Super Astute Jr.
The Sonic Saber is similar to its sibling Magnum Saber, featuring a curved body shell that covers the wheels. There is also a rear body roller attachment where users can install a 10 mm roller on it.
The difference between the Sonic Saber and the Magnum Saber is that the Sonic Saber has curve-like decals on its body shell and has a large, angled rear spoiler and large winglets. In addition, it has the 'Retsu' emblem on the front of its shell.
3. Manta Ray Jr.
The Manta Ray Junior is a Mini 4WD Racing car released by Tamiya on July 9, 1991. This Tamiya Mini 4WD car is featured as a member of the Black Mistral team in the manga and anime Dash! Yonkuro. Manta Ray Junior was also featured in Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go! as the Go Seiba’s first minicar, which was later replaced by the Magnum Saber. In the Let's & Go! anime adaptation, Jun Sagami has a special version of the Manta Ray, known as the Homerun Manta Ray.
As the name implies, its body design is inspired by the manta ray, a species of batoidea belonging to the Manta genus. There is a large rear spoiler mounted at the rear and 4 absorber supports placed near the wheels. For some reason, all models are equipped with an optional air intake section for a better motor heat dissipation system.
Most of the models are equipped with large diameter Spoke Manta Ray type 6 wheels paired with Avante type slick tires.

4. Super Astute Jr.
The Super Astute Junior is a Mini 4WD Racing car released by Tamiya on December 25, 1991. Tamiya also released an Advance version of the Super Astute, which is based on the limited edition Black Special variant of the minicar.
The black-painted Super Astute appears as one of the Black Mistral member cars in the manga and anime Dash! Yonkuro. Super Astute itself was later featured in the manga and anime series Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go! as Retsu Seiba's first Tamiya Mini 4WD car, which was later replaced by the Sonic Saber.
Super Astute features the same body shell as the first version of Astute, the difference is that it has a different base color.
5. Super Avante
The Super Avante is a Mini 4WD car released on February 28, 1995 by Tamiya. This is one of the variants of the Avante Jr. This Tamiya Mini 4WD is featured in the manga and anime Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go! where the car was made by Tesshin Okada, and kept by Dr. Tsuchiya.
The Super Avante is the prototype and basis of the Saber engine owned by the Seiba brothers. The RS variant was also used by Shun Daichi in Let's & Go! Tsubasa: The Next Racers.
The body shell of the Super Avante is similar to the Avante Jr., but with major differences as well. The front absorber mount has been replaced with a pair of fins and air ducts to cool the bike while it's running.
6. Tridagger X
The Tridagger X is a Fully Cowled Mini 4WD car released by Tamiya on December 6, 1994. This variant of the Tamiya Mini 4WD is featured in the manga and anime Bakusou Kyoudai Let's & Go! as Ryo Takaba's car. Tridagger X was later replaced by Neo-Tridagger ZMC in the series.
The Tridagger X features a full cowled body design featuring a blocky front cowl, smooth rear cowl and an M-shaped rear spoiler.
There is a visible pair of 6-roll spring struts on the front cover, and it has large air ducts on the front of the back cover. This car has a 3-window canopy. A fire-patterned sticker is presented on the shell, but the design is made different between the variants, especially in the Premium variant.
