1. Power Glove
When we talk about old consoles accessory, then we have to talk about Power Glove. The accessory is a combination of a glove and a controller for the NES controller. In promoting the Power Glove, Nintendo even made a special film titled The Wizard!
2. Virtual Boy
Virtual Boy is Nintendo’s answer about console game innovation. The accessory itself is unique. Designed like a binocular, you place your eyes in the right position and use the controller to play. Instead of creating a new trend, Virtual Boys causes muscle stiffness and headache.

3. Super Nintendo Mouse
On another ocassion, Nintendo wanted to introduce the mouse technology for SNES. unfortunately, gaming at that time didn’t use a lot of mouse action so many player consider the technology useless.
4. SEGA CD
Before PlayStation was release, SEGA wanted to patent the use of CD on its console. That resulted in SEGA CD, an accessory for Mega Drive/Genesis in a form of CD-ROM reader. The fusion concept grabbed the attention of SEGA’s competitor such as Atari and Nintendo that released a product with a similar concept. Atari released Jaguar CD with Nintendo released Nintendo 64DD.
5. Steel Battalion Custom Controller
Steel Battalion game is a Capcom exclusive game released for Xbox. The futuristic tank war game got more awesome when Microsoft released a special controller. The accessory got 40 buttons and two controllers. Unfortunately, the accessory didn’t do well in the market thanks to its expensive price.
6. GameBoy Camera
Way before selfie camera on a smartphone became popular, Nintendo created GameBoy Camera. The accessory can take a picture of the user and many more. Not just a camera, Nintendo also prepared a special printer to print all the photos taken with GameBoy Camera.
7. PSX Wireless Controller
Like PS3 and PS4 controller, the wireless controller for PS1 was made so the user can be more comfortable when playing their favorite game. Unfortunately, because of the connectivity and battery issue, the wireless controller is long forgotten.
