Here are some facts about Deidara in Naruto Shippuden, the ex-Akatsuki member who likes explosions!
Anime & Manga | 17 January
Deidara is one of the antagonists in the Naruto Shippuden who was also a member of Akatsuki. This man thought of explosions as an art. For that reason, all his Jutsu were related to explosions. In this article, Dunia Games wants to talk about the facts about Deidara. Take a look at the article below!
1. Mastered Kekkei Genkai
Deidara's explosions are consist of artistic clay bombs he created imbued with a unique combat style. The most unique thing is only his Kekkei Genkai. He was also one of three characters capable of using Kekkei Genkai.
Two other people who can use it are Gari, as he uses explosive release combined with taijutsu to give a powerful explosion upon contact. Another user, Sekiei, is an anime-only character who combines his explosive release with insects.
2. Became a Missing-Nin
Actually, Deidara couldn't clench chakra into his clay statue and use it as a lethal weapon. At first, his explosive release and clay sculpture were two separate abilities, but he learned about that.
Deidara stole a kinjutsu from his village that allowed him to clench chakra into a substance. This allows him to combine clay arts with his Kekkei Genkai. That's why Deidara became a missing-nin (runaway ninja), but he didn't mind because he thought it was the price he had to pay.
3. Had No Intention to Join the Akatsuki
Since the beginning, Deidara had no intention of joining Akatsuki. When Itachi, Kisame, and Sasori came to recruit him, Deidara turned down the offer. Deidara then accepted Itachi's challenge to fight. They fight under a wager, if Deidara loses, then he must join Akatsuki.
On the other hand, if Deidara wins, the Akatsuki must leave him and not bother him anymore. Deidara lost and he joined Akatsuki. This was the same as to some of the other Akatsuki members who were recruited through combat.
4. His Reason for Joining the Akatsuki
Deidara joined Akatsuki forcibly because he lost to Itachi Uchiha, but that doesn't mean he didn't have a goal after being in Akatsuki. Deidara held a grudge against Itachi and intended to defeat him one day. Deidara was also looking for a way to counter Itachi's dangerous Genjutsu with the latter's Sharingan.
Deidara knew that Itachi's stronger than him, that's why he waited for the right time to take revenge while training himself. He trained his left eye to fight Genjutsu. Not only that, but Deidara also learned how to make a C4 explosion to help him fight the Sharingan.

5. Respected His Opponents
Although Deidara was famous for being cruel and using sadistic methods to finish off his opponents, in fact, he always respected his opponents and did not fight dirty. This was seen in his fight against Gaara where he was tasked to extract the Jinchuriki out of the latter's body.
Before kidnapping Gaara, Deidara let him use the sand to protect Sunagakure and its people. He even called Gaara heroic because of his actions. This trait may not be shared by most villains in the series.
6. Respected Sasori
Sasori became Deidara's partner after he joined Akatsuki. The two love art, but Deidara and Sasori had different views on art. According to Deidara, art is an explosion (does not last long), but according to Sasori, art is something that can last as long as possible.
Despite their opposite views, Deidara still respects Sasori, but Sasori never respected Deidara because of his views. The two are more often seen as enemies than cooperating. What makes Deidara respect Sasori is that they are both artists.
7. Was a Popular Character
In the sixth official Naruto character poll, Deidara is placed on third among other characters in the series. With it, he is arguably more popular than other Akatsuki characters, even though not all Akatsuki members were shown. In addition, Itachi Uchiha, who looks cooler, is beaten by him back then.
At that time, Deidara became the most popular antagonist character. This was because Sasuke and Kakashi were ranked first and second. While Naruto, the main character, is one level below him, namely in fourth place. In your opinion, what makes Deidara so popular?
