After Megatron’s death in the third film, Michael Bay brought out Galvatron as the new villain. In the fourth installment of Transformers series titled Transformers: Age of Extinction, we see Megatron revived and transforms into a Galvatron. In addition, Galvatron has a fiercer and stronger subordinate compared to the Decepticons in the previous three films.

In the comic and cartoon, Galvatron is the reincarnation of Megatron. After Megatron died in the fight against Optimus Prime, the Decepticons rebuild Megatron with Unicron. The name means a giant electronic battery. The revived Megatron/Galvatron is then crowned as the new leader of Decepticons.

5. Galvatron is Different From Megatron

Even though Galvatron is the revived Megatron, it doesn’t mean that they are the same individuals. After being revived using Unicron, Galvatron becomes obsessed with its changes and new power. The immense power of Galvatron demoralizes any Decepticons that intended to betray Galvatron. Galvatron lacks empathy toward its subordinates. Galvatron only thinks of the Decepticons as slaves.

4. Not Stronger than Megatron

In term of strength, Megatron and Galvatron are equal, but when the two goes against each other, Megatron is at an advantage. There’s a thin margin between the two, Galvatron may be better in term of raw strength, but lacks in planning. Megatron may not be as strong, but it makes it up with planning, so Megatron can take advantage of the opponent’s weaknesses to subdue them.

3. Becomes Grand Galvatron

Who would’ve expected that Galvatron can become bigger? There are two versions of Grand Galvatron, the cartoon Grand Galvatron is a giant spherical robot because it absorbs all of the Unicron. The Unite Warriors’ Grand Galvatron is the combination of Ghost Starscream, Curse Armada Thrust, Zombie War Breakdown, and Wandering Roller. Takara Tommy made an exclusive toy for Unite Warriors’ Grand Galvatron.

2. Duet With Megatron

Nothing is more terrifying than Galvatron and Megatron working together to take down the Autobots. In the Action Force comic by Marvel Comics UK, Megatron and Galvatron work together to become a deadly duo.

1. Several Transformation

Similar to Megatron, Galvatron has several cool transformations. It can transform into a canon cooler than Megatron’s canon form. Also, Galvatron can transform into a futuristic tank.
