Gemscool is to officially close its service as of March 31. As one of the biggest publishers that has entertained many Indonesian gamers, surely there are lots of games from Gemscool that have left an impression on gamers.
On this occasion, Dunia Games would like to take you down memory lane with this list of the biggest games published by Gemscool. Take a look!
1. Ghost Online
At number one, we have a game that was so popular among those who often visit internet cafes, Ghost Online. It’s a 2D MMORPG with unique gameplay. In this game, you will choose between the various classes and fight the ghosts.
It’s also a personal favorite of Gemscool’s game for the writer. Aside from having a lenient system requirement, the features in this game were not too complicated. So, the game was easy to understand, even if it’s your first time playing an RPG.
However, there’s one flaw Ghost Online had, which ultimately resulted in its end: cheaters. Despite Gemscool’s many efforts, the game was still full of cheaters.
2. Yulgang Online
Next up is the classic 3D MMORPG from Gemscool, Yulgang Online. It’s a massive hit by Gemscool, because, at that time, it’s quite rare for a 3D MMORPG to have both amazing gameplay and animation. Back in the day, Yulgang Online’s only MMORPG rival was Seal Online from Lytogame. So, gamers basically had two options, Yulgang Online or Seal Online.
Alas, Yulgang Online was also closed by Gemscool as the company ended its contract with MGame Corporation on February 25, 2016. It’s sad news for many gamers as they have so many memories of this game.
3. Point Blank
Point Blank has also enjoyed massive success in Indonesia. Apart from Dota 2, Point Blank was a game with the biggest esports potential. Unfortunately, Point Blank’s popularity was again crushed by cheaters. While in fact, the game is really fun and has led to the establishment of the FPS gamers community in Indonesia.
On top of that, Point Blank also suffered from numerous acquisitions. This game has been owned by Gemscool, Garena, and lastly Zepetto. If you want to reminisce about this game, you can do so by downloading the game at Zepetto’s official website.

4. Dragon Nest
Next up is Dragon Nest, which some of you may already familiar with. The game was really popular, they released a mobile version of it. However, as time went on, a lot of players abandoned Dragon Nest. With fewer and fewer players, Dragon Nest was eventually closed in Indonesia.
However, there are still some players who are excited to play the mobile version. Do you miss this game?
5. Lost Saga
At number five, there’s the unique PvP game, Lost Saga. It was also one of the biggest hits by Gemscool in Indonesia -- including the esports scene. The game, which was developed in South Korea, had made lots of Indonesian gamers addicted. With a wide array of heroes with unique skills, Lost Saga used to be the main reason for gamers to visit internet cafes.
However, Lost Saga had to separate from Gemscool and was acquired by Gravity, who came up with the remastered version. Have you tried the latest version of Lost Saga?
6. Atlantica Online
Next is Gemscool’s turn-based MMORPG, Atlantica Online. This game is quite unique where you will play a squad of characters, each of which comes with its own Class. You can also create various items to improve your squad -- such as weapons, armors, accessories, and more.
Currently, Atlantica Online is held by Lytogame, which is also one of the biggest publishers in Indonesia. For those who want to jump back in, download the game right away.
7. FreeStyle Street Basketball
Last but not least, there’s the 3on3 basketball game that offered new gameplay to gamers in Indonesia, FreeStyle Street Basketball. In this one, you will play with other players to win games of street basketball.
What made it more fun was the numerous accessories you can get for your character. So, players were also trying to make their avatars look cooler than others, or in some cases, weirder.
So, those were the seven most memorable games from Gemscool in Indonesia. Stick around for more anime and gaming info, and make sure to follow Dunia Games on Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates.
