Star and Stripe is a hero introduced in Boku no Hero Academia season 7. He came all the way to Japan just to defeat the very troubling villain leader, Shigaraki Tomura. On this occasion, the author would like to discuss the facts of Star and Stripe in Boku no Hero Academia. Let's see the discussion below!

  1. Once Helped by All Might

When she was very young, Star was once helped by All Might. Star was traveling with her family and they were almost harmed by a group of villains. All Might who arrived on time immediately saved them. From then on, she idolized All Might and tried to be like him.

Nowadays, Star has big muscles that resemble All Might. He feels proud to be able to emulate his inspiration.

2. Considers All Might as Her Teacher

As the hero he's looked up to since he was young, All Might has had a huge influence on Star and Stripe's lives. Not only did she emulate her muscular appearance, Star also worked hard to become the number one hero in the United States.

At that time, All Might was still a U.A. student participating in the student exchange program. He also had the opportunity to attend school at U.A for a while. Although All Might did not explain it, Star considered All Might as her teacher.

3. Noble Heart

Not only do they want to have a body like All Might, Star and Stripe also have a noble heart. As the villains wreaked more havoc in Japan, Endeavor, Hawk, and Best Jeanist tried to contact the hero association in the United States to ask Star and Stripe for help.

But before that, even Star had arrived in Japan first using a jet traveling at incredible speeds. They arrived in Japan in just 2 hours. Star wanted to repay All Might who had saved her life when she was very young. Even without that reason, Star would most likely still help Japan.

4. Feared by All For One

All For One may fear All Might, but it seems he fears Star and Stripe even more because of a quirk that is considered extremely dangerous. That's why he sent Shigaraki Tomura to confront and steal her quirk.

If Midoriya who had the One For All teamed up with Star and Stripe who had the New Order quirk, it would be a nightmare for the All For One. As much as possible, he tried to prevent that from happening.

5. Star and Stripe's Real Name

In the flashback when she was helped by All Might, it was revealed that Star and Stripe's real name is Cathleen Bate. All of her comrades-in-arms already know her real name. Before losing to Shigaraki, Star also mentioned her real name and called out that she would not die in vain.

6. New Order Quick

Star has a super powerful quirk that will be very troublesome for her opponents. That quirk is called New Order. There are certain conditions to activate it. On this occasion, we would like to discuss the quirk!

New Order can make the user set new rules around the target. The condition to activate it is by touching and calling the target's name. Once active, the user can manipulate objects or anything around the target. The object can be anything, starting from a simple substance like the atmosphere.

Interestingly, Star can strengthen herself with this ability, or manipulate the condition of her opponent's body. Apart from humans, New Order can also affect inanimate objects such as air, laser beams, or even other quirks. More interestingly, Star can even set the rules for this New Order quirk.

7. New Order Quirk Weaknesses

Although very powerful, there are certain conditions to activate New Order. First, Star must be able to touch her target. Second, she must correctly say the target's name. If these two conditions are met, only then can she set new rules around the target.

Unfortunately, Star had mispronounced Shigaraki's name back then because Shigaraki himself was unsure whether it was still her or had been taken over by All For One. This made Star and Stripe's rules not apply to Shigaraki so it allowed him to launch a counterattack.

8. Able to Stop Shigaraki's Quirk

A lucky Shigaraki escaped the New Order and touched Star's face to rot her. By invoking her real name, "Cathleen Bate," Star and Stripe used New Order to stop her from decaying. However, since this rule was outside the upper limit of her Quirk, she only managed to slow down the decay.

Tomura mentions that Star and Stripe started to decay when he started stealing her Quirk. Due to prioritizing her safety, Star lost her Quirk in the process. But Star didn't die in vain as she set new rules for the New Order to fight the other quirk in Tomura's body.

These are the facts about Star and Stripe, the United States' number 1 hero in Boku no Hero Academia. Watch the rest of the story in Boku no Hero Academia season 7 which is currently airing this season!
