One of the programs that will be showcased at Tokyo Game Show 2024 is ‘Selected Indie 80’. This is a program that offers free exhibition spots to indie game developers from Japan and abroad. Both amateurs and professionals, selected developers can showcase their products in the Indie Game Area during TGS 2024.

This year, a record high of 973 entries were submitted, with 81 titles selected for exhibition. Before TGS, a program called "Hello! Indie! -TGS brings together indie games from all over the world" will be broadcasted online to introduce all the selected titles. Out of 81 game titles that will participate in the Selected Indie 80 in the Indie Game Area, TGS 2024 has selected eight finalists to compete in SENSE OF WONDER NIGHT 2024 (SOWN2024), a pitch event for indie game developers. The eight finalists will present their game pitches on stage on Day 2 of TGS 2024.

The winners of seven awards, including the Audience Award Grand Prix, will be announced after the jury's final decision. Here is the list of the eight selected finalists:

Tokyo Game Show is the largest game exhibition event in Japan held annually. Visitors can find various cool games that will be released in the future at this event. Tokyo Game Show 2024 will be held on September 26-29, 2024.
