The downfall of EVOS has been one of the most talked-about topics in the Mobile Legends scene. Everyone seems to have their own opinion on what went wrong.

EVOS has failed to qualify for the MPL ID Season 15 playoffs, shocking many fans and analysts. The team had entered the season with high expectations, especially after signing several star players like Albert, Kyy, and SwayLow. Yet, they were mathematically eliminated by Week 8, a devastating outcome.

This marked the fourth time EVOS has missed the playoffs—and for the first time ever, they have failed to qualify in back-to-back MPL ID seasons. Naturally, backlash and criticism have been pouring in from fans and the broader esports community.

Among those who have recently shared their thoughts is Age, a respected figure in the MLBB scene. While he had initially stayed quiet, he has now offered a revealing perspective on what has gone wrong within the EVOS camp. According to him, issues within the coaching staff have already been apparent since the controversy surrounding Depezet before the season began.

Age Revisited the Ongoing EVOS Drama

While streaming, Age opened up about the internal problems he believed had led to EVOS’s failure to reach the playoffs in Season 15. He directly addressed the Depezet controversy, but his view was different from the mainstream narrative.

Many had speculated that if Depezet hadn’t caused problems during the preseason, the intended main roster—supposedly built around him—would have performed better. However, Age has challenged that assumption.

“Since the issue is already out, I’ll speak honestly,” Age said during his stream. “A lot of people say that it’s all because of Depezet that they didn’t make playoffs. The midlaner role had reportedly been fixed. Sure, Depezet was at fault—but how come something like this happened twice?”

“That means he wasn’t being monitored by the coach. How could it happen again? Back then, when my players acted out, I always reminded them not to get into trouble. Learn from the past.”

“That shows the coach didn’t manage anything out-of-game. There was no supervision. If something went wrong, it should’ve been the team’s collective responsibility,” he concluded.

Age’s comments have shed light on the possible lack of out-of-game discipline and oversight within the EVOS coaching staff—something that may have contributed to their disappointing run this season.

As we look ahead to the next season, one question remains: Can EVOS recover from this, or will they continue to stagnate? Their next steps will be crucial not just for the organization’s legacy but for regaining trust from their loyal fanbase.
