Aside from that, drawing the same outfit over and over again will make the manga artist get used to drawing said outfit and the character. So, the artist doesn’t need to bother looking at references when drawing them.

In order to be more easily recognized, certainly, these characters ought to have their own distinctive features to make them stand out from the others in the readers’ eyes. You will immediately notice a character just by looking at their clothes.

Not all anime characters wear the same outfit every day, for example, within the anime genres of Slice of Life and the likes, they’ll wear different outfits in each episode. Although, there are some characters in the Slice of Life anime who never change clothes.

Most of the anime characters who never change their outfits are the anime within the Shounen, Action, or Adventure genres since those anime are more concerned with the battles than the outfits.
