Akai is one of the least popular picks among the pro players. However, there’s one player who often picked the Panda Warrior on the Land of Dawn: RED Canids’ Lunna. As it turns out, there’s an emotional reason for RED Canids Lunna’s decision to main this particular hero.

In the video "Ace Player | MLBB M3 World Championship | To the Top", Bedel Farway asked Lunna’s reason for picking Akai.

Lunna stated that he mains Akai because of the character’s resemblance to the cartoon character Kung Fu Panda. Kung Fu Panda is his daughter’s favorite show. Lunna’s daughter had been dealing with health issues.

The nickname "Lunna" is also the name of his daughter. And everything he does (including being a pro player) is to make his daughter and family happy.

"Akai has become my favorite hero because my daughter had health issues. And the only thing that could take her mind off her sickness was the movie Kung Fu Panda. And it saved her a lot. My daughter’s name is Lunna. Everything that I do is for her and my family. So, I get quite emotional whenever I talk about this," said Lunna.

RED Canids did have a short-lived run at the M3, but Lunna’s effort in becoming a pro player and competing at the Mobile Legends international championship certainly deserves appreciation. Let’s hope that Lunna can make it at the M4 and can be watched by his daughter.
