Although the Fairy Tail manga ended in 2017 and the anime ended in 2019, the story of Natsu and his friends continues. Hiro Mashima announced the sequel to Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest in 2018. This manga tells the story of Natsu and friends who go on an adventure to complete a 100-year mission. As the name suggests, this is a task that has not been completed for 100 years.

Natsu and friends are tasked with sealing the 5 dragon gods. This anime announcement is part of the 15th anniversary of the Fairy Tail manga, which was first published on August 2nd 2006. The website of this anime has revealed the release date, which is around July 2024.

The official website of the anime also reveals 4 new characters that will be present along with their voice actors:

• Mugihito as Elefseria
• Yuichiro Umehara as Mercphobia
• Yōko Hikasa as Karameel
• Sayumi Suzushiro as Touka

Meanwhile, the five main characters in this series; Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, Gray Fullbuster, Erza Scarlet, and Wendy Marvell still have the same voice actors as before.
