The news about Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 has finally been announced. Reporting from the official Jujutsu Kaisen website, season 2 will air in 2023 in Japan. Studio MAPPA hasn't announced any further about the release date yet. On the other hand, Jujutsu Kaisen season one has 24 episodes.

MAPPA also mentioned that there will be a special scene from Jujutsu Kaisen 0 at the beginning of the second season. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 itself is a prequel to the main story where Itadori Yuji still hasn't joined the sorcerer school. MAPPA also added that the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen will be re-aired on Japanese TV in April 2022.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 becomes a very popular film in Japan. Since its release in December 2021, this film has grossed up to 10 billion yen. Stay tuned for more news about Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 which will air next year!
