Kadokawa and Studio TROYCA's upcoming motorsports racing anime titled 'Overtake!' released their second promotional video trailer titled "Side: Drivers" which also previews the anime's main visual as well as the anime's opening theme song. The trailer previews the opening theme song “Tailwind” by NIJISANJI VTuber, Kanae. Apart from announcing the opening theme song, the end of the video trailer also announced the premiere date for the anime on October 1, 2023. Here's a video trailer that you can watch.

The anime will premiere on the AT-X channel in Japan on October 1 at 22:00 JST. The anime will also air on several Japanese television channels such as Tokyo MX, Sun TV, BS11, TV Aichi, KBS Kyoto, Shizuoka Broadcasting System, and Iwate Asahi TV.

The story of the anime focuses on a freelancer photographer named Kouya Madoka who is at the lowest point in his life. But everything started to change when he was assigned to cover a racing event at Fuji International Speedway which made him meet a young racer named Haruka Asahina.

Haruka Asahina is a high school student and an F4 racer who has extraordinary ambition and talent in F4 cross racing. Kouya's meeting with Haruka makes him flutter and is able to revive the passion that has been lost in Koya for a long time. Thanks to Kouya's help, Haruka can go a little further with his dream of starting to join a small team called Komaki Motors. Apart from their struggles and journeys in achieving their respective dreams, you should follow the stories from the lives of these two individuals because the two of them will be intertwined.
