Are you curious about the anime that carries the geisha theme? Let's learn more about Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc in Dunia Games’ Anime of the Week column!
Muzan’s Shocking New Demon Form
The first five minutes of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc premiere episode is a recap of the fight between Rengoku and the demon Akaza on the Mugen Train, which resulted in the death of the fire Hashira. Then the episode continues with a strange boy who has a foster family who is proud of the boy's attitude and talent. But his adoptive parents were concerned about the boy's strange illness which prevented him from leaving the house during the day.
After the demon Akaza came in front of the boy and bowed in front of him it was revealed that the boy was a new form of the demon Muzan. This scene is a reminder that there is still a long way to go before Tanjiro can become strong enough to take on Muzan.
The first episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc can be divided into two parts, with the first part featuring Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke experiencing grief over Rengoku's death. If one of the strong Hashira is powerless against the demon Akaza, what chance do Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke have to kill 12 Kizuki as well as Muzan, to turn Nezuko back into a human?
Ufotable is proving to be one of the best animation studios out there, not only providing spectacular action sequences, but also being able to animate the slick facial expressions of this trio of anime protagonists and the way they try to hide their respective sadness. Tanjiro fulfills his promise to Rengoku and visits his family home to convey the words of the Fire Hashira to his family, as well as learn about the Fire God Dance. Rengoku's father, Shinjuro, expelled Tanjiro and insulted his own son, who died.
Epic and Energetic Animation by Studio Ufotable
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc features a lot of jokes and hilarious scenes that strike a good balance between laughter and sadness. The hilarious scene is for example the return of Tanjiro's "strongest and most fearsome opponent" namely Haganezuka the swordsmith. This hilarious chase scene happened because the swordsmith wanted to try to kill Tanjiro for breaking one of his swords again.
As usual, Ufotable presents a slick and energetic animation, by showing Tanjiro's water breathing technique that illuminates the screen with extraordinary beauty. What makes this scene so interesting is that we actually get to see Tanjiro and Nezuko fight together in unity.

Introducing The Controversial but Loved Hashira Tengen Uzui
One of the drawbacks of the Demon Slayer Season 1 is that, despite presenting Nezuko as an important character, she spends most of her time hiding in a box doing nothing. In Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc, Nezuko shows how 2 siblings can become stronger when fighting together.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc also looks more interesting with the return of the most flamboyant Hashira, Tengen Uzui. Hashira's controversial reappearance due to his polygamous practice shows a controversial scene as well. Tengen kidnaps two young girls from the Butterfly House on a mission, and then smacks the girls in the ass before releasing them.
Although Tengen is quite controversial and eccentric because he has 3 wives and has a mission featuring a nightlife district, this Hashira is still a favorite of many people. His macho and masculine appearance with a manly and authoritative character makes Tengen loved by many fans.
Tengen brings us all to see the beauty of the nightlife in the Taisho era, fireworks, and street lights already paint the core of the story of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc. In addition, the song "Zankyou Zanka" by Aimer has been able to compete with the song "Gurenge" by LiSA with the lyrics and melody depicting the world of traditional Japanese hedonism.
