Shueisha has now announced in a Jump Press video that was shared that the manga Sakamoto Days by Yuuto Suzuki is now confirmed to be getting a television anime series which will be coming in January 2025. The main cast of the anime will be starring voice actors. adaptation, a teaser trailer, and key visuals for the upcoming anime were also revealed. Below is the trailer that you can watch.

Apart from that, the video also reveals several of the main staff who will produce the anime, with Masaki Watanabe as the anime's main director at TMS Entertainment. Taku Kishimoto is the series script supervisor, and Yo Moriyama is the character designer, respectively.

Previously, licensing news service License Global announced that Sakamoto Days was one of the "Netflix Upcoming Releases" in 2024. Although at that time it had not provided details about the project, now fans can find out if Sakamoto Days has been confirmed as an anime series adaptation next year. 

The original manga series of Sakamoto Days was created by Yuto Suzuki and has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since November 21, 2020, with 16 collected volumes in Japan and 11 volumes translated and released into English. 

This anime tells the story of Taro Sakamoto, who was the greatest assassin, feared by criminals and admired by his fellow assassins. But one day he fell in love, then decided to retire, get married, and now become a father, especially now that Sakamoto is gaining weight. The portly man who runs the neighborhood store is a former legendary hitman. Can he protect his family from danger? Get ready to experience a new kind of action comedy series!
