Studio Ufotable is one of the renowned anime studios in Japan since its inception in 2000. Known for the wide array of themes and stunning visuals, Ufotable is deemed as an animation studio that helped revolutionize anime with its modern style. On this occasion, Dunia Games would like to give you a list of the 7 most popular anime series from Studio Ufotable.

1. God Eater

The anime adaptation of Bandai Namco’s video game is set in 2050 when humanity has been pushed to the brink of extinction by Aragami. Humanity’s most advanced weaponry isn’t enough to stop these monsters. They can only be defeated by weapons made by Oracle Cells, the cell of which Aragamis are comprised. To combat these monsters, an organization was formed to save humanity through the use of “God Eaters“, special humans infused with Oracle Cells.

2. Kara no Kyoukai (Garden of Sinner)

The anime series that propelled Ufotable's popularity among anime fans, Kara no Kyoukai, is certainly a slow burn. But once you go through the first few episodes, then you will find the beauty and excitement of this anime. The story follows the main protagonists, Shiki and Mikiya, whose personalities are complete opposites. Working in a team of private detectives, Mikiya relies on his deduction skills, whereas Shiki is an exceptional fighter.

3. Tales of Zestiria the X

It's an anime adaptation of the video game of the same title. The story follows Sorey, who, during his visit to the capital city, accidentally pulls out a holy sword. This forces him to become a Shepherd, a hero who's tasked with saving the world. This is certainly not an easy task, not to mention that he also has to fulfill his dream of making humans and Seraphims live side by side, just like they did thousands of years ago.

4. Fate/Zero

This one is another iconic anime series from Ufotable. You can still watch this anime series even if you don't follow the entire "Fate" series. This series boasts stunning visuals with every battle scene. The story revolves around the Fourth Holy Grail War, which involves a competition between mages and their servants for the Grail that can grant them whatever they wish.

Initially made as a visual novel that features an interactive story with branching storylines, Ultimate Blade Works managed to become one of the most anticipated anime at the end of 2014. As a matter of fact, after its release, Fate/Stay Night received critical acclaim, especially for the character arc of Shirou and the other characters. And of course, Ufotable's stunning visuals also helped the series receive positive reviews.

6. Touken Ranbu

This anime adaptation of a collectible card browser game is set in 1863 during the Bakumatsu era, which was the last years of the Edo period in Japan. An anime with historical background and modern visual animation, Touken Ranbu instantly gained a cult following. Izuminokami Kanesada and Horikawa Kunihiro arrive in the streets of Edo from the future to investigate their master's reports of an impending enemy invasion. As humanoid manifestations of Toshizou Hijikata's famous sword, they are tasked with protecting history from the Retrograde Army who seeks to alter the past.

7. Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer)

Ufotable's most recent hit anime series is Demon Slayer. The story follows Kamado Tanjirou, a young man whose family was massacred by the demon, leaving only his younger sister, Kamado Nezuko, who turns into a demon shortly after the attack. Since that incident, Tanjirou seeks to get his revenge and find a cure for Nezuko. His journey leads to him becoming a Demon Slayer in the Demon Slayer Corps.
