The official page for the television anime series The Irregular at Magic High School is now announcing the newest arc of the anime, namely the Steeple Chase Arc, through a video trailer and new official visuals. The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3 will start on May 3, 2024. Through this video trailer, you can see footage from the anime as well as featuring the new ending theme song for the anime arc, entitled "Snow Noir" by Sangatsu no Phantasia.

Meanwhile, the opening song for the third season is entitled "Shouted Serenade" sung by LiSA. Previously, Kairi Yagi also performed the ending theme song entitled "Recall" for the Double Seven Arc.

The Irregular at Magic High School was adapted from the web novel series with the same title by Tsutomu Sato and published in 2008. The first two seasons, namely The Irregular at Magic High School, aired in April 2014 with 26 episodes, and the second season, entitled The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc, premiered in October 2020 with 13 episodes.

Set in the 21st century, where magic is only considered folklore and fairy tales, it has now become a systemized technology. If usually magic is used by reciting spells or chanting, in this magic high school, casting spells for magic use uses their Casting Assistant Device (CAD). The CAD is equipped with the user's Psions, which are a kind of substanceless thought particles that activate the device and perform magic rituals.
