Kodansha revealed that The Quintessential Quintuplets (Gotoubun no Hanayome) based on Negi Haruba's manga will receive a novel adaptation by Mika Toyoda. The first volume of The Quintessential Quintuplets novel will launch on March 31, 2022.

Kodansha Comics is publishing Negi Haruba's The Quintessential Quintuplets manga digitally and in print. The manga, which was made into a popular anime, tells the story of a quintuplet girls’ love story with their school friend who is a tutor for tutoring.

The manga was serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine in August 2017, until Negi Haruba ended the series in February 2020.

The Quintessential Quintuplets was adapted into anime in January 2019 and aired 12 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the series at the same time as it was broadcast in Japan, and Funimation also streamed with the English dub. The anime series also airs on Netflix.

The anime's second season aired on TBS in January 2021, and the final episode of the season premiered in March 2021. Crunchyroll is streaming a second season, and Funimation is also streaming it with an English dub. The latest season of the anime series was originally scheduled to premiere in October 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The sequel, Eiga Gotoubun no Hanayome (The Quintessential Quintuplets the Movie) will be released on May 20, 2022. This film will be the conclusion of The Quintessential Quintuplets story. The duration of this film will exceed 130 minutes.
