The latest news from the tech world claims that Apple is preparing to launch its newest MacBook product in 2024. According to information revealed by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the Apple MacBook Pro with the M3 chipset is scheduled for release in early 2024, followed by the launch of the MacBook Air which will also be equipped with the M3 chipset a few months later.

Previously, Gurman, as cited from Engadget, had predicted that the MacBook Air with this new generation chipset would be introduced in October. However, these predictions appear to be changing, with the MacBook Air expected to appear sometime between spring and summer 2024.

In his latest newsletter, Power On, Gurman informed that the development process for the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air is currently at the Engineering Verification Test (EVT) stage. EVT is an important stage in Apple's product development cycle. Meanwhile, the MacBook Pro M3 is no less fast. The 14-inch and 16-inch versions of the MacBook Pro equipped with the M3 Pro and M3 Max chipsets have entered the Design Validation Test (DVT) stage, indicating that the products are almost ready to enter the mass production phase.

Interestingly, this news emerged not long after Apple launched the MacBook Pro 2023 series last January, which is equipped with the M2 Pro and M2 Max chipsets.

Meanwhile, Gurman also responded to other rumors circulating recently regarding Apple's iPad product line. Several sources claim that Apple will present a new iPad in the near future. However, Gurman said that despite development on the iPad series, he is less confident that significant updates will be introduced soon. According to rumors, the new iPad Air will be powered by the M2 chipset, while the iPad mini will use the A16 Bionic chipset.

As additional information, Apple is also reportedly developing an innovative feature for their iPhone products. This technology allows the iOS operating system on iPhone units that are still sealed in the box to be updated without the need to open the box seal. This innovation will certainly provide additional convenience for consumers. When consumers buy a new iPhone, they don't need to bother updating the iOS operating system at the start of use.
