Surprising news came from fighting game developer ARC System Work. In the State of Play event on June 4, the Guilty Gear Strive game developer announced a new fighting game titled MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls.

This game itself is a form of collaboration pioneered by MARVEL by collaborating with ARC System Work and Sony. This collaboration can be said to be very surprising, considering that previously MARVEL had only collaborated with Capcom.

MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls itself carries the theme of 2D fighting games with 4v4 tag-team gameplay. This is quite unique considering that in general tag-team fighting games only carry 2v2 or 3v3.

In terms of appearance, this game carries a Japanese animation-style character design. The selection of this design appearance is the result of MARVEL's decision to give space to the developer to create character designs according to their distinctive style.

MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls will be released on the PlayStation 5 and PC platforms, and is planned for release in 2026.
