One of the unique aspects of Astral Bond is its approach that goes beyond fictional characters and monsters, by including mythological figures and iconic Indonesian ghosts such as dedemit, lelembut, and siluman. The game also integrates local astrological systems like Pancalan (inspired by Javanese weton), heirlooms (pusaka), and mystical symbols (rajah) into its character progression mechanics.

The game’s story revolves around twin siblings, Satria and Kinara, who are lost in a new world where the human realm (Sekala) and the spirit realm (Niskala) merge. As they search for their missing family and friends, players will explore various regions and gather clues from a host of mystical beings they encounter.

Beyond its strong narrative, Astral Bond incorporates features that showcase Indonesian traditions, such as cooking local dishes and highlighting historical tourism spots in a visual novel format. Through these elements, Astral Bond becomes both an entertaining game and an interactive medium for cultural education.

Going Global with Kickstarter
