Defeating Team Liquid PH in the Upper Bracket Finals, AURORA Qualifies for the M7 World Championship!

The match between AURORA and Team Liquid PH in the MPL PH Season 16 playoffs took place on Friday, October 24, 2025. As previously explained, if AURORA or Team Liquid PH wins this match, they will automatically qualify for the M7 World Championship as the first Philippine representative. The loser will drop to the Lower Bracket Finals.

In Game 1, Team Liquid PH dominated the game. Sanford and Sanji's Arlott and Selena combo hampered AURORA's progress. This was further compounded by Jaypee's GatotKaca performance. Sanji's Selena was absolutely blazing in this game. Team Liquid PH secured two Lords, but they couldn't close the game. AURORA defended well, and the game resumed.

With the fourth Lord secured, Team Liquid PH pounded AURORA's base. Again and again, AURORA's defense was impenetrable. Sanford and KarlTzy were defeated, giving AURORA a golden opportunity to make a comeback. The two remaining Team Liquid PH players, Jaypee and OHEB, tried to defend. Lancelot Demonkite's play was frenzied, with Jaypee being the last player to be eliminated, and AURORA ultimately secured Game 1.

Game 2 saw AURORA regain the early lead. Team Liquid PH attempted to counterattack, successfully stealing Lord, but was still stopped. The second Lord capture proved costly, as Team Liquid PH managed to take down three AURORA players with KarlTzy's Hayabusa and Sanji's Zhuxin combo. Liquid PH's second Lord attack was still unable to stop the game.

A teamfight ensued in AURORA's base, with EDWARD and Demonkite falling. Zhuxin Sanji's play was exceptional, and Team Liquid PH continued to pound AURORA, ultimately securing Game 2. Game 3 once again began with AURORA in the lead, with the Fredrinn and Yve combo providing the driving force for Demonkite and company. Pressuring from the start, Team Liquid PH appeared overwhelmed.

The first Lord capture in Game 3 was completely unexpected, with AURORA dominating. Demonkite captured Lord, securing AURORA a wipeout. However, AURORA wasn't done yet. The battle resumed, focusing on the second Lord. An intense teamfight ensued, with players from both teams falling, and both teams eventually reset and resumed play.

AURORA secured the third Lord, KarlTzy being eliminated. Team Liquid PH players fell one by one, securing a wipeout. AURORA closed out the third game in style. Game 4 was decisive, securing AURORA a place in the M7 World Championship and a spot in the Grand Final. Dominating from the start, AURORA capitalized on the positive momentum.

AURORA secured the first Lord, eliminating three Team Liquid PH players. Domengkite's Ixia and Phoveus Edward combo played a key role. Domengkite secured Maniac. Another teamfight ensued in the 11th minute, and AURORA repeatedly dispatched Team Liquid PH players. However, Light and his teammates seemed unhurried.

AURORA secured the second Lord, Domengkite, who took down Jaypee, and the Team Liquid PH players appeared overwhelmed. AURORA stormed the Team Liquid PH base. The Cavalry players fell, and AURORA ultimately became the first Filipino team to qualify for the M7 World Championship.
