The term "tournament bracket" may sound familiar to most of us gamers. The term derives from the system in various sporting tournaments in general. This term is usually used to refer to groups of competing teams in a tournament.
What is a Tournament Bracket?
As the name suggests, the word "bracket" refers to groupings. In a competition, the teams are put into groups in a tree diagram that pits each team until there's one last-standing team.
There's also the "double elimination bracket" — if a team loses, they will be relegated to the lower bracket. If a team loses a match in the lower bracket, they will be eliminated. The winning team of the lower bracket will face the winning team of the upper bracket in the final round.
Currently, there are lots of tournament bracket generators that you can use to create your own tournament, one of which is from Dunia Games. Planning on creating your own tournament bracket? Here's how!
