The EVO Japan 2025 event is one of the most anticipated events by fighting game fans around the world. Apart from showing Esports matches which are certainly exciting to watch, this event is also an opportunity for Fighting game developers to announce new content in their games to the general public.
This is what the Tekken 8 developer did, who announced the presence of the character Fakhumram in the game. Just before the Top 8 Round, a teaser for the new character was shown. As for the complete trailer for this character, it will be shown at the same time as the Combo Breaker Tournament on May 26 2025.
Fakhumram's presence in Tekken 8 makes it the 2nd DLC in the game's 2nd season. This also marks its second appearance in the Tekken franchise, having previously been released as DLC in the Tekken 7 game.
Tekken 8 Also Announces New Stages and Collaborations
Apart from the release of Fahkumram, Tekken 8 also announced the presence of a new Pac-man themed stage, namely Pac-Pixels. This stage was released in the context of a collaboration between Tekken and the Pac-Man series as well as celebrating the 45th anniversary of the Pac-Man series.
Apart from Pac-Man, Tekken 8 also announced a content collaboration with the Karate Kid Legends film. This collaboration will later present cosmetic content themed to the film in the game, as well as display posters for the film in several maps in the game.
