Bandai has recently announced another collaboration. This time, the company teams up with Hatsune Miku for a unique collaboration on the Tamagotchi Nano platform. Hatsune Miku is a Vocaloid software developed by Crypton Future Media. It's fair to say that this is a surprising announcement as Bandai Japan has yet to create a product-specific page but directs fans who want to pre-order the product at Bandai Premium Japan until September 14, 2022.

So far, there will be a total of three Tamagotchi variants to choose from, Cute Miku (green-white), Cyber ​​Miku (blue-white), and an exclusive transparent variant called Future Miku. The Future Miku variant will be available in limited quantities and comes in a black box, which Bandai Japan describes as a luxury edition.

According to the Bandai Premium Japan site, you can take care of Miku in ten different looks from her debut in 2013 to 2021, as well as other characters such as Rin, Len, Luka, Meiko, and Kaito. And there are two more secret characters that are yet to be revealed.

The Tamagotchi will have 3 mini-games: Vocal Lesson, where you can press the buttons on the screen rhythmically to help Hatsune Miku sing; Note Catch, where you help Hatsune Miku catch the musical notes that fall from the top of the screen; and Day and Night Performances, where you press the button when the as keywords appear in the center of the screen.

During the gameplay, players will meet numerous special characters such as Hatsune Miku holding green leeks, Octopus Luka, and Snow Miku. It's unclear yet what food or snacks players can feed Hatsune Miku. Hatsune Miku Tamagotchis will be launched in March 2023.
