Kinjutsu is a term given to the forbidden shinobi techniques. Using a kinjutsu is forbidden because it harms the user or the masses and also breaks the law of nature.

5. Orochimaru’s Cursed Seal

A powerful kinjutsu that Orochimaru develop by studying Jugo’s body. Orochimaru applied the seal by biting his target.

Upon receiving the seal, the target will lose consciousness while their body adjusts to reject or accept the presence of the seal; upon rejection, they will die and if their body accepted the seal, the target is granted with immense power. The more they use the power of the seal, the easier for their mind to be controlled by Orochimaru, and Orochimaru can take over their body when that happens.

4. Sozo Saisei

One of the strongest jutsu of Tsunade is said to be the peak medical ninjutsu and the greatest regeneration technique. But it’s labeled as a kinjutsu because of the side effect that cuts the user’s age into half because the body’s cell can only split several times.

With simple hand seals, Tsunade will release a great amount of chakra from her forehead to stimulate her cells to split and repair any injury to her organ or tissue. Not only the jutsu can heal it can also regrow any broken body part.

3. Tajuu Kage Bunshin no Jutsu

The advanced version of Kage Bunshin is labeled a kinjutsu by the creator, Tobirama Senju, because using the technique will drain the user’s chakra in an instant -- the user have to split their chakra to every clone they created.

That’s why even if the jutsu is great for ambushing or tricking an opponent, only a few can use this technique, like Naruto that got a vast chakra pool because he is a Jinchuriki and descendant of the Uzumaki Clan

2. Rasenshuriken

The advanced technique of Rasengan is developed by Naruto himself by adding Wind Release chakra, creating a shuriken-shaped ring that can cut his target. But that’s why the technique is considered as a kinjutsu: the technique also destroys the user’s hand.

This is the reason why Naruto throws Rasenshuriken to reduce the drawback on his hand.

1. Kuchiyose: Edo Tensei

Another jutsu invented by Tobirama, but further developed by Orochimaru and perfected by Kabuto Yakushi. The jutsu is strictly forbidden because it cross the law of life and death; not only it require a living sacrifice, but the jutsu also summons a spirit from the realm of the death and controls their mind.
