The PvE mode for Overwatch 2 will be another content that gamers will be able to enjoy in addition to the mainstay PvP mode.

Blizzard was recently reported to be working on PvE content (Player vs Environment) for Overwatch 2. Whereas previously, Blizzard had never mentioned any plans to create PvE content for the FPS. Instead, they focus on comic content and short animations that have a storyline. Makes Overwatch different from similar FPS games.
Through the Developer Update video shared, Overwatch 2's Game Director, Aaron Keller explained that Blizzard will set up PvE mode after rolling out the PvP feature first. Of course, this is a very interesting announcement.
Blizzard also mentions that the Overwatch franchise continues to grow. "We're changing our release strategy by separating Overwatch 2's PvP and PvE experiences to get new PvP content into the hands of gamers more quickly, while we continue to work on PvE."
As is known, Overwatch is a franchise that focuses on PvP mode. Having a PvE mode is indeed interesting and fun for gamers who want to explore the characters in this game. But on the other hand, this franchise is still a competitive FPS game. So it's only natural for Blizzard to continue to prioritize PvP content when compared to PvE content.
In addition, Blizzard will also add 4 new maps and a new Hero named Sojourn. Furthermore, Objective Modes such as Capture Point and Push Payload will return in Overwatch 2. The fun thing is, when Overwatch 2 is released, the first Overwatch players will be able to join Overwatch 2 players through the Cross-Play system for free.
Currently Blizzard is still busy working on the completion of Overwatch 2 before it is finally released in full. So at this time they will only open Open-Beta which aims to get feedback from players to achieve satisfying gameplay when the full release later.
And for those of you who can't wait to try Overwatch 2, Blizzard is said to be holding a close beta for PvP in April 2022. If you want to try it, you can register via the Overwatch website HERE.
