The Blue Lock anime has just finished its first 24-episode season on 26 March 2023. Although the first season has just finished, fans of the series are seemingly restless about the continuation of the anime. 8bit, the Japanese animation studio that produces Blue Lock, has confirmed the second season of the anime. Aside from Season 2 of the anime, 8bit has also confirmed an animated movie that revolves around Nagi, titled “Episode Nagi”.
Blue Lock Anime: Synopsis
Blue Lock is an anime adaptation of the Japanese manga created by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. The story revolves around the teenager Yoichi Isagi, a High School student who received an invitation to a specially designed training program created by Japan Football Union called “Blue Lock”. The goal of this project is to develop the world’s best striker by taking the participants’ individual skills to test in various situations. Yoichi undergoes this training along with the other 299 trainees to compete to become the best striker who will represent the Japanese national team at the international level.
Blue Lock Season 2
Although they had confirmed the second season of the anime, so far, 8bit is yet to reveal the details regarding the upcoming season of Blue Lock. However, based on the previously announced press release, the studio confirmed that there will be a Blue Lock movie that takes a different approach. The movie is said to take the perspective of Nagi Seishiro. The animated movie is an adaptation of the spin-off manga of the same title.
Blue Lock Season 2 will continue Yoichi Isagi and co’s journey in achieving their dreams. In the upcoming season, we’ll learn about the numerous internal conflicts within the teams, rivalries between the great players, and the massive pressure that Isagi and friends have to take on. Throughout their journey, they’ll develop new individual skills and work together as a team to achieve victory.
Blue Lock Players & Their Clubs
The first 24-episode season of Blue Lock has ended. The season ended with the Japan U20 team’s battle to win the trust of the Japan Football Union. However, if you read the manga, you’re probably aware that the anime is way behind the chapters in the manga. Some of the Blue Lock trainees eventually join European teams in the Neo Egoist League.
