Genshin Impact is a very popular MMORPG game to date. But long before the release of Genshin Impact, MMORPG gamers were actually surprised by the announcement of Blue Protocol in June 2019. This game was developed by a team called Project Blue Sky, which is a joint team between Bandai Namco Online and Bandai Namco Studio.

Although it has shared a number of teasers and trailers, Bandai Namco has not provided a definite release date regarding Blue Protocol so far. So Bandai Namco was overtaken by MiHoYo with Genshin Impact in 2020. Even so, there are still many gamers who are faithfully waiting for the release of this MMORPG game from Bandai Namco until now.

Now for those of you who have just heard the name of this new MMORPG game from Bandai Namco, here is all the information about Blue Protocol that you should know:

What is Blue Protocol?

Blue Protocol is an ambitious MMORPG game developed by Bandai Namco. Since it was announced in 2019, this game has managed to grab the attention of gamers around the world. Even through the trailer that was shared, many gamers were amazed and couldn't wait to play it immediately.

Bandai Namco itself said that this is a new original game combined with several elements so that it has been integrated thoroughly. They call this a "new IP that will captivate gamers around the world".

Blue Protocol is developed using Unreal Engine 4 to display anime-like visuals. Starting from the 3D character designs with a strong anime element, to the colorful world. Both provide stunning graphics.

What's the Blue Protocol World Like?

Almost like Genshin Impact, Blue Protocol will be set in a vast fictional world. So that players can explore freely and enjoy every corner.

Bandai Namco also announced that Blue Protocol will be available as a free-to-play game. They are also discussing to determine the business model in this game. Later the world on Blue Protocol will also be divided into several locations. From the trailer and screenshots that have been shared, it appears that players will see modern urban locations, large green areas, hills, to dungeons that look gloomy.

The background of Blue Protocol also concerns the world that will be the location of the player's adventure. This unknown world is surrounded by a mysterious light called Engram. Later there are also ancient ruins named Bafaria that reside in this beautiful and sophisticated world.

The ruins turned out to have technology that really helped the local residents. So the city looks very advanced and modern. However, it turns out that there is a threat that lurks the residents because they use technology that comes from the ruins.

What's Blue Protocol Gameplay Like?

As an MMORPG game for PC, Blue Protocol’s gameplay will be similar to MMORPG games in general. Players will control the character played by using a keyboard and mouse. On the keyboard, there will be a move operation that allows players to move the character forward, backward, right and left. As well as a number of other buttons that function as jump, autorun, dash, and walk. There is also a combat operation that involves a number of buttons on the keyboard and mouse to perform various attacks and skills.

The main concept of Blue Protocol is PvE (Player vs Environment), so players will focus on fighting against AI in full. Unfortunately, Blue Protocol does not have a PvP (Player vs Player) system. So players can’t kill each other, but they can compete with the game to reach an objective as quickly as possible.

As an MMORPG game, players will be able to play solo or together with other players to knock out monsters. Through the Beta Test period which was held some time ago, the player's objective is to undergo a number of given quests by defeating monsters and raising the character’s level. In addition to leveling up, players will also pay attention to several things, such as equipment, upgrades, stats, crafting, mounts, and so on.

What are the Classes in the Blue Protocol?

During the Beta Test, Bandai Namco has introduced four classes that players can use, but later they will add another class when the game is fully released. Here are the details of the four classes in the Blue Protocol that you can know:

Aegis Fighter

A melee class that has a balance between attack and defense, so it is very suitable for the front line. Has a great defensive ability because it has a large armor. This class is perfect for those of you who want to go on an adventure alone or as a protector as well as the front guard for a group.

Twin Striker

A close-range DPS class that focuses on two-armed attacks that are used in the right and left hands. This class can give a barrage of attacks so that it deals great attack damage. The amount of damage produced depends on the skill used.

Blast Archer

A ranged attack class that is perfect for dealing damage while in a party. This class has a number of powerful skills to paralyze enemies from a distance.

Spell Caster

A class that learns magic attributes such as fire, ice, and lightning. This class really helps paralyze the enemy with its elemental attacks.

Character

During the Blue Protocol Beta Test period, Bandai Namco has introduced six main characters that can be used by players, including:

Main Character

This is the main character that will be played by the player. The background of this character is told that he has lost his memory, so to restore it he must explore the world. But it turns out that he will also face unexpected things along his journey.

Feste

A female NPC who will accompany the main character along their journey. She has an annoying nature, because she likes to throw condescending sentences. Even so, Feste was a smart and cunning girl, even though it seemed like she was just joking.

Jake

Jaker is a very famous traveler in Asterleeds. He is highly skilled at many things, but his suspicious demeanor makes him untrustworthy.

Einrain

Einrain is a mysterious girl that you will meet many times on your adventures. She will help players without saying much, and she seems to have a certain relationship with Bafaria.

Tyris

Tyris is Aerinse's personal bodyguard. She always did what Aerinse needed to do and put more emphasis on her obligations even though she had to make difficult choices in the end.

Aerinse

Aerinse is a mysterious girl who appears in "Kamigaraku no Onhashira" or "Pillars of the Haunted". She came from outer space with a great purpose. She is more concerned with her obligations even though in the end she has to make a difficult choice.
