Elden Ring is a huge and challenging game, so, it’s understandable that you may encounter numerous memorable bosses in the game. It is even considered the game with the most bosses from FromSoftware. Elden Ring challenges you to prove your gaming skills and beat the bosses.
Each boss has a different level of difficulty. You may find yourself enjoying going toe-to-toe with some of them, whereas others can make you frustrated thinking about what’s the best way to deal with them. On this occasion, Dunia Games would like to give you a list of the 10 hardest bosses in Elden Ring that will make you rage quit. Without further ado, let’s get into it.
10. Fire Giant
This Legend Boss isn’t necessarily the hardest boss to beat yet it certainly gives you one of the most frustrating battles due to its sheer size, making it difficult for melee players to get the momentum to launch attacks. During the fight, this boss can also roll around the battlefield, forcing you to move around chasing it and avoiding its attacks.
The Fire Giant wields a large shield for the first stages of the fight, whereas for the second phase, it inflicts tremendous AoE damage, forcing you to keep moving around and keeping your distance. Remember, you need to move around when dealing with this boss. Its fireball attacks can be so deadly.
9. Commander Niall
The boss that you'll encounter in Castle Sol is similar to some other bosses that FromSoftware created in its previous games such as Artorias, Gwyn, and Isshin Ashina. The fight against Commander Niall can be a frustrating one as it takes place in a very small area. Not to mention that he can summon two additional enemies at the start of the fight to aid him, meaning that you need to dodge non-stop. Once he weakens and falls, it's easier to deal with him. But he's a formidable boss who can kill you with just one or two hits.
8. Rykard Lord of Blasphemy
This boss was actually a God-Devouring Serpent, whose body had been taken over by Rykard. This boss fight is arguably one of the most fascinating ones because you are required to use a special weapon to kill the giant serpent boss. You can also completely avoid this boss as your story progress will not be affected if you don't fight this boss. However, when you face him in the first phase, you'll fight him as a God-Devouring Serpent before you can challenge him in the second phase.

7. Rennala Queen of the Full Moon
Rennala is a boss that you have to beat for you to make progress in Elden Ring's story. Rennala can be found at the Academy of Raya Lucaria in the middle of Lake Liurnia. Rennala's attack mechanics are quite unique so you might have a little trouble dealing with this boss. Rennala can protect herself with a golden sphere that will make her invulnerable to attacks.
You have to make her fall by attacking the followers below her who have the golden circle on their heads, by attacking the golden sphere then you can remove the golden circle on Rennala and start attacking this boss when she falls. But watch out for the flying-book attacks as you hit the golden circle on her followers.
6. Mohg, Lord of Blood
This boss fight can be one of the most exciting ones but also can be very frustrating. He is a terrifying Demigod who masters blood magic. At first, he seems pretty easy to beat as his magic spells can be easily dodged despite the tremendous damage they do. However, when you are almost halfway through the battle, he casts the Blood Loss curse, which can make you lose a lot of HP (up to 50%). If you don't manage to dodge these attacks, you can instantly lose the battle. Not to mention that he will continue to attack while releasing fire in every attack. The key is how you find the perfect timing to recover your HP after he uses this spell.
5. Crucible Knight Duo
The fight against the Crucible Knights is one of the most frustrating mid-level fights in the Elden Ring. Since you're fighting two bosses at once, the fight may feel like forever as you'll have to keep on dodging, blocking, and attacking them, but your attacks only deal little damage. This boss fight will give you flashbacks to the infamous duo in Dark Souls, as the duo boss fight has a unique attack pattern. They can also do a lot of damage and their aggressive nature makes it difficult for every player, regardless of the type of character you create, to dominate the fight.
4. Ulcerated Tree Spirit
This boss fight is optional in Elden Ring, you can skip it and it won't affect your progress. This boss fight takes place in a small space, so sometimes the camera angle can be quite a problem. You can defeat the Ulcerated Tree Spirit either solo or with other players or NPCs. In addition to that, you are also allowed to make ashes summons during this fight. You'd better fight it with a physical attack-based character. Arm yourself with a powerful sword and shield or bring a powerful two-handed weapon into battle.
3. Starscourge Radahn
Another fight against a gigantic enemy that moves a lot, hits hard and has an irregular attack pattern that makes it so difficult for players to find openings. Starscourge Radahn is an optional boss, but you can find him in Caelid, which you can only access from Redmane Castle after using the Grand Lift of Dectus. He is one of the strongest Demigod bosses you will face in the Elden Ring. In addition to his gigantic size, he is also a very aggressive boss who does tremendous damage with every attack. You can summon up to 7 NPCs to help you defeat them.
2. Maliketh the Dark Blade
The most cinematic and one of the most visually mesmerizing fights is the one against Maliketh, The Black Blade. This boss is the second phase of the battle against the Beast Clergyman boss. This boss has crazy movement and speed. He jumps around, so it is very difficult to attack him. Aside from his powerful AoE attacks, he slashes when he jumps, which can drastically reduce your HP when it hits you. If you play Soulslike games, this boss is very reminiscent of Bloodborne. It seems that it will be a little easier if you use magic characters than melee characters for this particular boss.
1. Malenia, Blade of Miquella
Malenia is the epitome of an epic battle. But the fight can be understandably exhausting even to the point of being frustrating. She heals herself when she hits you, her four-level wedge attack is one of the most difficult moves in the history of the Soulslike games. She is a Demigod boss who is a twin sister of Miquella. There are two different phases when fighting her, and in each phase, Malenia does fast and powerful attacks, so she will definitely overwhelm you.
She is one of the hardest and most annoying bosses due to her ranged attacks and the second phase of her fight, where she pulls off faster combos. She attacks from above before immediately drops down, draining your HP really quickly when she hits you. Not to mention that she can also disappear, meaning that it will take you some time to defeat her.
So, those were the 10 hardest bosses in Elden Ring that can frustrate you. Stick around for more anime, movie, and gaming info, and make sure to follow Dunia Games on Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates.
