BTR's victory over RRQ has been one of the most surprising results of last weekend. RRQ, who had maintained a six-game winning streak throughout MPL ID S15, has finally suffered a loss in Week 4 at the hands of Bigetron.

No one has expected this outcome—especially considering BTR's inconsistency over the first three weeks, not many have favored them going into the match.

In reality, Bigetron has entered a resurgence phase. After having defeated TLID, they have silenced RRQ in dominant fashion with a clean 2-0 sweep. The return of Finn as roamer has had a notably positive impact.

BTR’s draft flexibility has become one of their key advantages. They have executed two cheese picks in both games—Carmilla in the first and Masha in the second.

Masha, in particular, has been Luke’s signature hero for a long time, but that doesn’t mean it’s a regular pick, especially as it isn’t part of the current META.

BTR Has Won Against RRQ Because of Masha’s Impact

Masha has been known to be a weak early-game hero in the EXP Lane. With no crowd control and poor early sustain, she has often lost in lane against most tanky heroes.

But the pick has never been about early game. Masha’s strength has emerged in the mid to late game. Once Blade of Heptaseas and Blade of Despair have been completed, any enemy core has become a potential instant-kill target if Masha has found an opportunity to flank.

Mas Ade has acknowledged this. According to him, Masha has truly caused chaos for RRQ’s Gold Laner, Jungler, and Mid Laner during the second game.

“Who wouldn’t panic when chased by Masha? You’ll instantly be forced to reposition when you see her in the late game. Luke’s Masha just targeted any visible core,” said Mas Ade during a livestream.

“There’s no way you can consistently maintain good positioning against Masha for 14 minutes. It’s just too much. The match dragged into late game, and the Masha was being used by a real expert—Luke, guys,” he added.

The courage in drafting by E2Max has deserved high praise—especially in the midst of what has become a rather monotonous drafting trend in MPL ID S15.
