Pokemon GO’s monthly event, Community Day, will take place on March 6 from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM local time.

For this month’s Community Day, Niantic will feature Fletchling. This means that Fletchling will be the first Gen VI Kalos Region Pokemon to be featured in Community Day.

Fletchling, the Tiny Robin Pokemon, is of the Normal & Flying-type. During this month’s Community Day, its Shiny form will be released for the first time in Pokemon GO. The spawn rate for its Shiny will also be increased during the six hours of the event. So, you will have a bigger chance to get its Shiny. Make sure you don’t miss out on this opportunity, as it will be much harder to find a Shiny Fletchling outside of this event.

Be ready to spend 2 Incense to take part in this event. One Incense will last for 3 hours, which will be a sufficient amount of time to attract Fletchling. Prepare lots of Pokeballs, so you won’t have to get out of your house.

During the event, you will also get a Triple XP Bonus from catching Pokemon. Make sure to take advantage of this event to gain lots of XP to level up. Use Lucky Eggs for the additional 2x XP.

For example, if you can get an Excellent Throw using a Lucky Egg, you will earn around 6,000-8,000 XP. And that’s from a single catch! Be aware that during this event, you can catch hundreds of Pokemon within 6 hours.

Fletchling has 2 evolutions: Fletchinder and Talonflame. Don’t forget to evolve your Fletchling into Talonflame during the event (11.00 AM - 7.00 PM) to get the Community Day special move: Incinerate (Fire-type attack).

This moveset works exceptionally well for Talonflame as it will give you the STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus). That’s because Talonflame is a Fire & Flying-type Pokemon.

You can also try to take a snapshot of your Pokemon to get the Fletchling Photobomb and get the spawn. You can use this trick up to 5 times. Good luck on your Community Day and your hunt for Shiny Fletchling, Trainers!
